After teasing an announcement mere days ago, One Direction icon Zayn Malik has confirmed his Las Vegas residency but not everyone is thrilled.
The Pillow Talk hitmaker returned to touring earlier this year after the devastating news of his former bandmate Liam Payne’s death.
His return has been met with huge enthusiasm from fans, especially as the 32-year-old singer has been embracing his past for the first time since quitting the band.
Zayn has now revealed his next move is to perform a seven-night residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM in Las Vegas.
The show will run from January 20 to January 31, 2026, and tickets are set to go on sale this week, with prices yet to be revealed.
However, some fans said they were ‘disappointed’ by the announcement as they were hoping he would return to Europe for a tour next year.

‘What about Europe?’ wrote urfav.l4ur3x on the announcement Instagram post, although they added they were ‘so proud’.
‘Crying in Europe 😔 pls don’t forget about us,’ shared kathi.kfr as aliciagonzalxz added: ‘UK RESIDENCY WHEN????’
‘So that EU tour doesn’t exist after all does it,’ said anamariasari while jennyalonzog begged: ‘We need dates for all countries.’
‘I’m kinda disappointed that it’s not Europe, but also super proud cause 7 night residency is HUGE❤️❤️,’ said basia.sembrat21.
Comments filled the post asking when he would announce more shows in the UK and Europe, after his last gigs here in late 2024.
Many defended Zayn, telling other fans to celebrate his wins rather than always asking for more shows.
‘Every time he announces something yall immediately go to “well what about” instead of being happy for him,’ wrote covert.directioner.

Yahfavashleyy said: ‘This is the second time he’s doing live performances in his solo career, can’t you all be happy for him and stop bugging him for Europe dates, they’ll come when he’s ready let him live until then geez.’
‘Excitement is running through my whole nervous system 😅😅 Beyond Excited 👏🙌🔥,’ added payno_tomm0.
Zayn’s residency marks the biggest shows of his solo career after a string of sold-out arena gigs last year on his Stairway to the Sky tour.
At one show, which marked the the 10th anniversary of his exit from One Direction, he shocked fans by opening with a rendition of Night Changes.
It was the last single he ever recorded with Payne, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Harry Styles before his shock exit.

The song rose in the charts following the death of Payne at age 31, just months before, with Zayn sharing his verse on the track with his late bandmate.
‘It’s the first time I’ve sung that song in 10 years. Thank you, that was amazing, I almost cried at one point,’ he told the crowd at the time.
Zayn’s Las Vegas shows will be on January 20, 21, 24, 25, 28, 30, and 31.
Tickets for Zayn’s Las Vegas residency go on pre-sale on September 24 at 12PM PT and then general sale begins on September 26.
Fans need to sign up to Zayn’s VIP Key by Tuesday, September 23 at 10PM PT to be able to get pre-sale access.
