A telling comment on an old TikTok post by singer D4vd has resurfaced as police continue to investigate the death of teenager Celeste Rivas, whose body was found in a Tesla owned by the “Romantic Homicide” singer.
TMZ has uncovered a comment made by an unidentified user on a February 25, 2024 TikTok post. The brief message admonishes D4vd for “messing with” an underage girl.
“waiting for LAPD to get your a– for messing with a 13 year old girl,” the comment reads.
At the time of the TikTok post, Rivas would have been 13 years old, while D4vd was one month shy of his 19th birthday.

What we know about D4vd, Celeste Rivas
On Sept. 9, authorities in Los Angeles uncovered the decomposing body of a 15-year-old girl, later identified as Rivas, in the trunk of a car registered to D4vd, 20.
As of now, D4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, has not been arrested in conjunction with Rivas’ death. However, police have searched one of his homes looking for “blood evidence,” and Rivas’ mother says her daughter was missing for a year and was dating a man named David.
Additionally, the two also reportedly share matching tattoos, and D4vd reportedly wrote an unreleased love song referring to a girl named Celeste.
One of Rivas’ former teachers has also made accusations involving D4vd, who has cancelled his ongoing world tour and also lost endorsement opportunities amid the probe.
Why has D4vd not been arrested yet?
There may seemingly be a wealth of circumstantial evidence linking D4vd to Rivas’ death, but the fact is, police have not even declared him an official suspect yet, let alone arrested him for a crime.
ABC News contributor and legal expert Brian Buckmire explained why this is the case during an appearance on Good Morning America last week.
“A lot of people are going to be asking the very obvious question of ‘Why hasn’t D4vd been brought in at least for questioning?'” Buckmire said.
“Law enforcement does not have the answers they want in order to be able to confront or question D4vd,” Buckmire continued. “Especially without an autopsy report as to the cause and manner of death.”
For now, authorities will continue to look into the matter as many outsiders continue to cast suspicion on D4vd as the person responsible for Rivas’ tragic fate.
