Right now, there is a video of Simon Cowell clapping that has seemingly captivated the internet. When a celeb guest appears on The Jennifer Hudson show, they do something called the tunnel – where they basically walk up a corridor and have a lil vibe. Simon Cowell just did his for his appearance, and the clapping left everyone a bit baffled.
The cast and crew for the show sang the tune of The Greatest Showman, and Simon walked and clapped along. He then joked “can I do that again” and walked onto the set.
Speaking about the tunnel moment, music mogul Simon said: “I absolutely loved that, when they told me about it, it is seriously the best way of coming onto a show, seriously do you mind if I steal it for America’s Got Talent? I think it’s brilliant. I want to do it twice, I might do it on the way back.”

Ok, so what’s going on with Simon Cowell?
Clips from the moment have now had millions of views on Twitter. “New clap method unlocked,” one person said. “This was awkward feel free to delete,” said another. Whilst a third added: “Simon. Blink twice if you need help.” Another said they “can’t stop watching this. I am so mesmerised by his peculiarity,” whilst people compared the clap to a t-rex or a seel.
Simon has been very open about his change in appearance and lifestyle recently. He completely overhauled his regime and lifestyle in 2020, when he crashed his electric bike near his Malibu home. Because of the incident, Simon broke his arm and broke his back in three places. He then had a steel rod inserted in his back. Simon was told at the time he may never walk again, and could have died.
I refuse to believe that video of Simon Cowell is real

Speaking about how his life has changed since, Simon explained he now has a very strict workout routine. “I’d do 100 press-ups before I get in the bath in the morning, then at work after a meeting, I’ll shut the door and do more,” he previously explained. He also follows a strict diet to keep himself healthier.
After the accident, it was said Simon Cowell was a millimetre away from being paralysed, so people on Twitter have questioned if the clapping video might be linked to this.
One said: “Reminder that Simon Cowell suffered a severe electric bike accident that broke his back and damaged his spine. Admiring his recovery instead of mocking his appearance or movement would be super cool.”
People are also pointing out they’ve never ever seen Simon from the waist down, because he’s always sat at desks judging people. A fair point!
