During the first week of MAFS UK 2025, we’re getting to see the wedding for each of the new couples. We’ve just been introduced to the cast, then we see who has been matched with who, and what they thought of each other at initial meetings. It’s intense.
Well, we’ve actually been given some pretty good insight into one MAFS UK 2025 wedding, as a reporter from MailOnline went to see new couple Nelly and Steven tie the knot. They described the “military operation” of how the day goes without hitch, and everything we didn’t see in the show.

There’s a secret room for the crew members
The wedding took place at North Mymms Park, which has also been a filming location for Bridgerton. The crew was described as “enormous” in size, and they congregate in a secret room, next door to where the ceremonies take place.
According to MailOnline, this room is like a makeshift gallery for production, and is a fully- equipped TV production control room. There, they can capture the event from all angles.
Straight after the weddings, the honeymoons are all filmed at the same time. This means the crew has to be huge, as they split up into teams to head all over the world to film the next stages for the couples.
‘It’s a military operation’
The wedding of Nelly and Steve was described as a “military operation” as crew made sure the couple didn’t see each other until they met at the end of the aisle.
“With incredible precision, I witness producers coordinating the movements of Nelly’s bridal party and Steven’s groomsmen via walkie talkies so none of them get a single peek at one another – an urgent warning comes over the airwaves alerting the team that the bride’s parents are set to pass up a stairwell,” the guest said.
“Seconds after the groom is ushered out of sight, the team accompanying the bride’s family are given confirmation that the coast is clear. It is an extremely tight ship.”
The whole wedding was filmed twice

So, to definitely spoil the magic of it all being natural and the first time they’ve met, the entire wedding of Nelly and Steve was filmed twice. So yes, they had to pretend to be all shocked seeing each other, all over again. Nelly literally had to walk back up the aisle, and get carried down it once again.
After seeing it happen for the first time, the guest said: “They do the entire thing again. Nelly got the biggest laugh of the afternoon by cracking a joke as she made her way back up the aisle, solo, to let the cameras shoot from a different angle.” They noted that she joked: “Are we getting divorced already?”.
The guest added: “Producers fussed at guests to pick up any bags they put down during the ceremony, to ensure the continuity is maintained.”
Fortunately for all involved, both Nelly and Steve were equally as happy to get married the second time around.
