This Epic Rock Collab Was Written in Just 55 Minutes

Yungblud (Dominic Harrison) wasn’t sure if he’d ever step into the studio with Aerosmith. But he booked one anyway after setting up to meet with Steven Tyler, 77, and Joe Perry, 75. Surprisingly it only took 55 minutes for the band to write what would become Aerosmith’s first new music in over a decade.

After Aerosmith heard the 27-year-old nine-minute track “Hello Heaven, Hello” from his 2025 album Idols, they knew Harrison was special. The right phone calls were made an soon, a meeting of the minds was on the calendar.

Just before their meeting, Yungblud secretly booked a studio across the street “just in case” things went well.

“It’s like a first date,” the Doncaster native said on the Loudwire Nights podcast.

“You’re either going home together or it’s going to be a disaster,” he added.

But within 15 minutes of hanging out, they were off to the studio. And 55 minutes after that, they’d written “My Only Angel.”

While recording, Yungblud found himself trading vocals with Tyler in a friendly battle of high notes.

“We come into the mixing room and go, ‘Wow, we sound really, really good together,'” he added.

Contrary to popular belief, One More Time EP was already recorded when Aerosmith and Yungblud appeared at the 2025 MTV VMAs to honor the late Ozzy Osbourne. They kept it under wraps, even banning backstage cameras to protect the secret.

“No one had a clue,” he laughed. “We’ve got a secret and nobody knows it.”

One More Time will mark Aerosmith’s long-awaited return to the studio and a career milestone for Yungblud as he bridges generations of rock. It releases on Nov. 21, 2025.
