It’s been a wild year for Lydia B Kollins. And not just because that B now stands for Butthole. Lydia B Kollins came into the Drag Race fandom at the start of 2025 as an instant fan fave, and one of RuPaul’s faves also. Always a healthy position to be in, but it’s crazy we’ve only known Lydia on our TVs for seven months because she’s totally ubiquitous across the fandom now and extremely beloved. She killed it on season 17 and then went STRAIGHT onto All Stars 10, and this speed of a turn around (Lydia has said she had five days to prepare for All Stars) has resulted in an amazing statistic that no queen has ever achieved so far. It’s quite the feat. Here’s how Lydia B Kollins on All Stars 10 and season 17 made Drag Race lip sync herstory – worked out by a clever fan.
Firstly, we need to understand Lydia’s shooting schedule
Okay, so before we get into how Lydia B Kollins has made Drag Race lip sync history, here’s some context about the actual schedule that she’s undertaken over the past year and a bit. Because All Stars 10 is a new format with brackets and then a semi final filmed nearly a year later, the situation is bizarre. So, Lydia filmed all of season 17 except the lip sync smackdown and the finale in 2024. She then had a five day turn around before All Stars 10 – confirmed by Cynthia Lee Fontaine that the brackets portion were filmed in June / July of 2024.
Lydia then returned to do the final bits of season 17 after already competing in All Stars 10 and knowing she makes the semis, before finally filming the merge of All Stars 10 in April 2025. Whew.
All this filming has meant that Lydia now managed to achieve the following…

Not only has Lydia been on our screens consistently since January, she has also lip synced in every single month. These lip syncs have included ones from Drag Race season 17 like Unholy with Lana Ja’Rae, Boogie Wonderland with Arrietty and then her All Stars lip syncs like Guess with Mistress, Love Sensation with Tina Burner and Texas Hold Em with Jorgeous. Whew.
