A fight that occurred behind one of the goalkeepers caused the cancellation of a match in an amateur tournament in the United Kingdom.
The British newspaper “The Sun” reported that the match between the teams “Afro FC” and “Kidgsgrove Athletic” turned into great chaos, after a goalkeeper punched a fan in the face.

The chaos began when Kidgsgrove player Tom Pope was sent off with a red card in the 80th minute, as he was subjected to provocative words that sparked a quarrel behind the goal.
The quarrel reached its peak when a fan threw a punch at a player from Kidgsgrove (the newspaper did not mention his name), before he attacked the team’s goalkeeper, who did not hesitate – in turn – to respond, as he dodged the blow with his hand and then directed a punch at the fan’s face.
The Sun reported that players from Afro FC gathered around Kidgsgrove’s goalkeeper and quarreled with him, until the referee decided to end the match.
It is possible that the goalkeeper will be subjected to a severe penalty from the disciplinary committee of the Western Division of the Northern Premier League, with the possibility of imposing additional penalties on other players and clubs, especially with the continued spread of videos of the incident on social media sites.
Afro FC occupies fourth place in the Western Premier League table, while Kidgsgrove occupies 12th place.
