Aaron Rodgers is 41 years old. Joe Flacco is 40. Naturally, fans had a lot of running jokes about the two grizzly quarterbacks meeting when the Pittsburgh Steelers traveled to Cincinnati to play the Bengals in an AFC North showdown on Thursday Night Football.
Some joked that because the spotlight belonged to two veteran quarterbacks, the game should be dubbed “The Icy Hot Bowl, Presented by AARP.”
There was also “The Bengay Bowl.”
And “The Unc Bowl.”
The jokes were coming from all over the place, including one Shooter McGavin!
Battle of Bengay!

Rodgers and Flacco first met nearly 16 years ago, when Rodgers played for the Green Bay Packers and Flacco donned black and purple for the Baltimore Ravens in 2009.
Now in their 40s, Rodgers and Flacco somehow found a way to turn back the clock.

Rodgers went 23-for-34 with 249 yards, four touchdowns, and two interceptions. He was bested by Flacco, who went 31 for 47 with 342 yards and three touchdowns.
The Bengals ended up squeezing out a 33-31 win, and Flacco led the late drive to help set up Evan McPherson’s game-winning field goal that helped the Bengals snap a four-game losing streak.

And that’s what’s been super impressive, the fact that he joined the Bengals just nine days ago, after the Cleveland Browns traded him.
Joke all you want, but Rodgers and Flacco proved that age ain’t nothing but a number.
At least for one night.
