BUCTZOTZ. – Extensive police mobilization took place this Tuesday in the municipality, where residents had to intervene due to the lack of services.
In the first place, a humble home was consumed by flames after a fire occurred this morning at the home located on 20th Street between 7 and 9 Buctzotz.
Until now, it is unknown how the fire started at the property, although it is speculated that it was a short circuit.
It was the neighbors who noticed the flames that covered the house, built with wood and cardboard sheetsthose who notified the emergency number 911.
Elements of the Buctzotz Municipal Police, as well as a relative of the owner of the home and by working together with the help of buckets of water and a water tank they managed to put out the flames.
Only material losses were reported, since the family that lives there was not there at the time of the fire.
Motorcyclist hospitalized
In another incident, a motorcyclist ended up in the hospital after the driver of a car did not respect the stop sign and hit him.
The events took place on 29th Street between 8th and 10th, where the driver of the car ran the stop sign and ran over a young motorcyclist who was coming in right of way.
The young motorcyclist was seriously injured and elements of the police arrived at the scene.
