Activist group targets Donald Trump with giant protest

Donald Trump has arrived in the United Kingdom for his second state visit, and protesters wasted no time making headlines.

The activist group ‘Everyone Hates Elon’ unveiled the “world’s largest photo” of Trump alongside disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

PROTEST AGAINST DONALD TRUMP

They did this outside Windsor Castle, turning royal grounds into a spectacle of political drama.

The photo stretched more than 400 square metres, paid for by £30,000 (about R685,000) raised from British donors. The protest did not end at banners.

Political campaigners Led By Donkeys also projected Trump’s image, alongside Epstein’s, onto Windsor Castle walls. They did this as the US president settled in for the royal welcome.

ARRESTS MADE OVER PROTEST

Thames Valley Police arrested four individuals on charges of malicious communications.

A Led By Donkeys spokesperson insisted, “I think they arrested them for embarrassing Donald Trump. It’s a ridiculous overreaction. We’ve done 25 or 30 projections before; no one’s ever been arrested.”

Security was tight as over 1,600 police officers prepared for mass protests in London, with 50 groups expected, according to Sky News.

Two men faced charges for violating temporary airspace rules by flying drones near the castle. Trump emphasised his strong relations with the UK and the monarchy.

WHY ARE THEY PROTESTING?

Protesters are targeting Donald Trump during his UK state visit in response to his long-standing association with Jeffrey Epstein. The courts convicted Epstein, the disgraced financier, of sex offences.

Activist groups see the president’s visit as an opportunity to draw attention to these controversies by staging large-scale visual demonstrations at Windsor Castle.

The activists aim to challenge the political and royal honour being bestowed on Trump, according to KGNS TV.

Activists insist that the public must scrutinise substantial allegations and ongoing questions about Trump’s relationship with Epstein, especially while he receives global recognition.

DONALD TRUMP’S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE U.K.

He told reporters, “My relationship is very good with the UK, and Charles, as you know, who’s now King, is my friend.

This is the first time anyone has been honoured twice. So, it’s a great honour.”

U.K. ITINERARY

Donald Trump’s itinerary includes talks with Prime Minister Keir Starmer and a lavish state banquet hosted by King Charles III.

British officials hope this visit will bolster trade negotiations and highlight cooperation on technology. “Everybody is looking forward to it. You’re going to have the best pictures,” Trump claimed mid-flight.

The spectacle serves as a vivid reminder of how activism and controversy continue to shape global headlines, even in the most regal settings.
