Adam Peaty and Holly Ramsay have shared a series of photos of their honeymoon after jetting off to Mauritius.
Last month the Olympic swimmer, 30, tied the knot with Gordon Ramsay’s eldest daughter Holly, 26, in a ceremony at Bath Abbey.
However, the celebrations were somewhat overshadowed by family drama after it emerged that Adam had uninvited his mum and several other family members from the nuptials.
But a few weeks on, the newlyweds appear to have tried to put the fallout behind them and soak up the sun.
On Wednesday evening, Adam gave his over 784,000 followers a glimpse into their time away, which he captioned: ‘Honeymoon so far featuring palm trees.’
The first photo showed the swimmer shirtless standing on a beach looking away from the camera in a black and white snap.
The next showed Holly posing in her bikini at the resort, wearing a Miu Miu hat which retails for £490.
Another snap showed Adam with his back to the camera walking down to the ocean, with a similarly posed photo seeing Holly walking to dinner over a pond, in which she was wearing a long white knit dress with sandals.
As Adam promised, there was a shot looking up at the sky with palm trees seen, while the final saw the newlyweds posing together in front of a pool, with their backs to the camera but heads turned and smiling.
Commenting on the post, the pair’s wedding planner Events by Camilla wrote: ‘Looks amazing! Hope you’re having the best time x.’
‘It looks so dreamy have the best time guys xx,’ Tanya shared.
‘Looks totally gorgeous, honeymoon is so so special,’ Jen posted.
Meanwhile Adam’s business partner Ed Baxter jokingly declared: ‘Thanks for the invite.’
In an interview with British Vogue published after her wedding, Holly shared details of their honeymoon.
‘We’re going to Mauritius to just lie by the sea – that was our wedding present from my parents,’ she explained.
‘I had to tell Adam we weren’t basing our honeymoon around a 25-metre pool…’
Speaking to the publication, Holly also detailed her dress choices for the big day, with the bride wearing an Elie Saab gown to walk down the aisle, complete with an intricate lace veil and Amina Muaddi heels.
She told Vogue that her choice for the dramatic gown was inspired by the church’s 65 metre aisle, saying she knew she ‘needed something long’ to make an impact.
As well as this dress and a ‘short and fun’ second Saab number, she also paid tribute to her mum, Tana Ramsay, during her wedding day by donning her gown from when she tied the knot with celebrity chef Gordon in 1996.
‘My parents would love it if I did one look, but I’m doing two changes,’ she said.
‘I’ve always loved the idea of bringing in mum’s dress at some point,’ she continued.
‘It’s beautiful: silk with a V-neckline and pearls all the way around. I tried it on and it fit me perfectly – it didn’t need any altering.’
Holly said her mum had teared up when seeing her wearing the dress, but her dad ‘cries every time’ she spoke about the wedding.
The couple hosted more than 200 guests, including Sir David and Victoria Beckham, however their big day was overshadowed by the family drama.
Rumours of a family fallout first started swirling when Adam’s mum Caroline was notably absent from Holly’s hen-do at Soho Farmhouse, with sources close to the swimmer then claiming he’d been ‘changed by money, fame and fortune.’
Soon after news broke Adam’s brother James was arrested on ‘suspicion of harassment’ following his stag do in Budapest, with Adam then releasing a statement addressing ‘challenging times’ and asking people to be aware that there are ‘two sides to every story.’
His great aunt and uncle were also allegedly ‘brutally’ uninvited in an automated message just days out from the wedding.
Adam’s older sister Bethany – who was one of Holly’s three Maids of Honour – was the only immediate Peaty family member allowed to attend the wedding.
