Why We Love This Deal
Adidas can trace its roots in running back by nearly 100 years, gaining a full head of steam after Jesse Owens’ big Olympic win in the 1936 games in Berlin. It’s fair to say the brand’s tech has come a long way since then, but one thing is still true: Adidas remains a force in the running shoe market. Many look to its Adizero lineup for reliability, and one model with a modern and maximal stack height is under $60 for a limited time.
The Adidas Adizero Aruku Shoes usually cost $140, but Adidas’ Week of Deals sale takes them down by a colossal 60% to just $56. Only one color—Cloud White / Pure Ruby / Core Black— is listed at this price, while most other colors are listed at 30% off.
Adizero Aruku Shoes, From $56 (was $140) at Adidas
What You Should Know
- Upper: Synthetic and textile
- Midsole: Swirlfoam cushioning
- Outsole: Rubber
- Sizes: 4 through 14
- Best For: Daily runs, walking, standing, streetwear
This silhouette is based on an older model, the Adizero PR, that dropped in the early 2000s, but this time around, Adidas is hitting it with some modern touches.
Up top, there’s a breathable synthetic/textile upper that looks just like the OGs, with a thin rubber outsole to cut weight while still providing traction. The big change here is the chunky rocker-shaped midsole that’s made of Swirlfoam cushioning, giving you exceptional support, cushion, and shock absorption.
You can use the Aruku in a variety of ways. You can certainly run in them, though we think there are better options out there, like Brooks’ Ghost or Hoka’s Mach X, but these should work for anything around 3 to 5 miles. Otherwise, they make a fantastic shoe for lots of walking and even standing all day, thanks to the high-stack cushion.

What Owners Are Saying
The best way to test a walking/running shoe’s claims to be supportive all day is to, well, wear them all day. Luckily, one reviewer wrote that they’ve worn the shoes for “one month now and have walked about 75 miles in them,” and said, “They are excellent walking shoes that are both comfortable and supportive.”
There’s also no denying that these shoes have a unique look, and if you’re worried that it detracts from the comfort, you can rest assured that they’ll keep your feet supported all day: “The shape of the shoe is so different, but it feels good to walk in.” Another reviewer said they’re “very sleek and comfortable.”
It can be hard to get a pair of reliably supportive running shoes for under $100, especially from a name brand, which is why the Adidas Adizero Aruku Shoes are a steal for $56. Stock is beginning to thin out at the time of writing, so get a pair ASAP.
