Adjusted SASSA Older Person Grants in November 2025 confirmed – Bundlezy

Adjusted SASSA Older Person Grants in November 2025 confirmed

Sadly, recipients of SASSA Older Person Grants in November 2025 will not enjoy any further increases. Of course, we’re referring to the surprising R10 increase to core Old-Age Grants in October 2025. That was a one-off and may be the last grant increase for some time, if the diminishing social welfare budgets are anything to go by.

As you all know, earlier this month, elderly grant recipients aged 60-74 received R2 320. And beneficiaries over the age of 75 received R2 340. And it’s been confirmed that these are the same amounts to be disbursed next Tuesday 4 November 2025 to approximately four-million beneficiaries.

However, while it may seem like ‘business as usual,’ there are plenty of internal rumblings threatening to derail the South African Social Security Agency. Like, for example, the ongoing hirings, suspensions and firings of senior departmental staff. It’s been playing out like a soap opera in parliament. But it all points to questionable leadership within the social development department.

Not to mention the demise of the Master Service Agreement (MSA) between SASSA and Postbank. This will terminate at the end of the December 2025, and it’s understood that around two-million SASSA Older Person Grants in November 2025 are still being paid using Postbank. Therefore, the agency is urging remaining clients to change banks as soon as possible, before the Postbank-SASSA divorce gets really nasty.
