The Collective Transportation System (STC) Metro of Mexico City reported that regarding the resumption of service in the Line 5which runs from Polytechnic to Pantitlán.

This Saturday, October 25, the CDMX Metro, through its official accounts, announced that the service had been temporarily suspended on Line 5, after a person will throw themselves in front of the train at the station Petroleum Institute.

According to preliminary reports, the The incident occurred shortly after 10:00 a.m.causing the temporary suspension of service while the emergency forces and Metro personnel carried out the necessary maneuvers to rescue a man between 65 and 70 years old, who had lost his life on the spot, after allegedly throwing himself onto the Metro tracks, at the Instituto del Petróleo station.

“The service is momentarily stopped on Line 5. We carried out maneuvers to rescue a person who allegedly threw himself in the path of the train.”

Circulation resumes on all Line 5

After completing the corresponding work, the capital Metro at the 10:30 cut-off announced the full resumption of service:

“The circulation of trains on Line 5 is resumed, all stations are in service,” indicated the STC.
