AIKEN COUNTY, S.C. (WJBF) — Aiken County is now in the middle of its state-mandated property reassessment.
Leaders say the process required every five years under South Carolina law.
Crews with the county assessor’s office are reviewing every parcel across Aiken County. You may see appraisers in white county-marked vehicles, wearing county ID badges and logo shirts. They may walk around structures, check measurements, and update property photos.
The fieldwork is expected to wrap by the end of 2025, with updated property values going into effect for the 2026 tax year.
If you have questions, call the assessor’s office at 803-642-1583.
