Aldi’s $15 3-Piece Casserole Dish Set is Perfect For Making Hearty Fall Meals

This time of year, many of us roll up our sleeves and get to work in the kitchen to make cozier, wholesome meals. Whether that is a family-favorite casserole, a pot of your best soup or a hearty pasta dish with loads of fall vegetables, now’s the time for those cool-weather meals we all know and love.

If you’re thinking of making a layered enchilada dish, a baked chicken and rice recipe or a one-pot spaghetti, Aldi’s new Crofton 3-Piece Glass Baking Dish Set will make all of your cooking dreams come true. It’s reminiscent of the ever-popular Pyrex baking dishes that have been passed down a few generations but at the fraction of the cost.

The set retails for $14.99 and comes with five-quart and 1.5-quart dishes and an eight-inch square pan. While the dimensions aren’t available on Aldi’s website yet, it appears the five-quart is likely a 13-by-nine-inch pan and the 1.5-quart a standard loaf pan size, which is nine by five inches.

In addition to this set that Aldi is dropping on Oct. 22, there will also be another glass baking dish set with five-, three- and two-quart sizes. Depending on what you plan to use them for, either set—or both—may be a good purchase at that low price. As a comparison, a similar Pyrex set retails for around $45, and while those do come with lids, this set is excellent if you plan to pack away the leftovers into food storage containers anyway.

Not only are these baking dishes good for savory meals, they can also be used for crafting baked goods and desserts. The five-quart piece could easily be used to bake cakes, a double batch of brownies, lemon or cranberry bars, and cobblers, crisps and crumbles.

Not only would the 1.5-quart pan be great for meatloaf, it would also work well for baking your favorite quick bread, like banana, zucchini or apple, pound cake, coffee cake and fruit cake, this time of year.

And last, but not least, the eight-inch square pan would be excellent for a regular batch of blondies or brownies, a small coffee cake, cookie bars and small cakes.

In addition to the two baking dish sets Aldi is dropping, the retailer also has a host of kitchen and food items dropping this week. Some of the Finds include stainless steel water bottles, baking sheet sets and cooling racks, their extremely popular Awesome Pots, silicone baking mats, glass meal prep bowls and various holiday things.

If you’re interested in any of the above, they’ll be in stores starting Wednesday, but don’t expect supplies to last long.
