I’m always looking for ways to spice up my vegetable routine, both to increase the overall volume I consume and also to keep things interesting (the latter helps the former, that’s for sure). I remain pretty impressed with the frozen selection at Aldi, as they seem to have the same goal in mind.
Whether it’s their chili garlic steamed edamame, ready-to-roast Mediterranean vegetables or garlic and herb riced cauliflower, there is a frozen vegetable for you. I’m even a big fan of the unseasoned, plain varieties, as they’re easy to stir into a pot of soup, toss into a casserole or mix into a pasta dish at the last minute.
Aldi’s latest frozen vegetable drop is sweet and spicy. Their Season’s Choice Hot Honey Carrots make for an easy side dish or as a grain bowl addition. Often their seasonal varieties of frozen veggies retail for a slightly higher price, but why come with premium ingredients and added spices and flavorings. In this case, the 12-ounce bag retails for $2.99. Still a budget price for 3 servings.
Aldi Is Selling Hot Honey Carrots For Just $3
The ingredients list is pretty simple – two types of grilled carrots, oil, balsamic vinegar, honey, parsley, salt, rice starch, crushed chili, garlic powder and black pepper. One serving boasts 9-grams of fiber and 0-grams of added sugar. The directions explain to cook the carrots in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or in the oven at 400 degrees for 18 to 20 minutes.
Carrots are chock full of vitamins and minerals, like vitamin A, beta-carotene, vitamin K and potassium. They’re known to promote eye, immune, heart and skin health and may even protect against some types of cancer due to their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Aldi’s frozen foods section is brimming with new goods this week, including breaded eggplant cutlets and breaded eggplant fries, a Mongolian-style beef skillet, mini chickpea and butter chicken naanpanadas, a family pack of raw peeled shrimp and wild caught lobster bites, to name a few.
If you’re seeking something a bit different to serve with dinner tonight, these Hot Honey Carrots dropped September 3 and will likely run out fast.
