Alejandro Garnacho looks likely to be one of the first major dominoes to fall as the summer transfer window continues to crank into gear.

The Manchester United winger was already heading towards the exit after free-falling out of Ruben Amorim’s plans and only coming on for 20 minutes of the Europa League final defeat to Tottenham.

Now he has irked fans by being photographed in an Aston Villa shirt with the name of his Old Trafford team-mate Marcus Rashford splashed across the back while on holiday in Ibiza.

The England striker has also been discarded by Amorim and was sent to the midlands club on loan in January where he played much better than two goals in ten appearances suggests.

Reports are circulating that Garnacho and Rashford will both be left out of the club’s pre-season tour of the United States and quick sales will enable moves to sign replacements possessing the skills to dig the club out of their current malaise.

Garnacho was valued at around £70million but that fee may be lowered following what could look like an implied dig at Amorim and his admirers include Italian sides Napoli, Juventus and AC Milan while Atletico Madrid are keen to take him to La Liga.

Alejandro Garnacho next club odds

Garnacho has expressed an interest in staying in the Premier League, with three clubs interested, and will want Champions League football, so the most likely clubs for him to join are Chelsea at 7/4 with Ladbrokes, Coral and Bet Victor.

Serie A champions Napoli would make the most sense if the Uruguayan moves to Italy but Bayer Leverkusen are interesting at 10/1 with a number of firms including William Hill, Paddy Power, bet365 and Sky Bet.

They are now managed by Garnacho’s old United boss Erik ten Hag and need to replenish their stocks. Garnacho scored the opening goal for Ten Hag’s reds in their FA Cup final success over Manchester City in 2024 and also found the net in the Community Shield two months later as he began last season with eight goals in his first 20 appearances.

Amorim then replaced Ten Hag and it has been downhill since there for all concerned.

Tennis odds: Fritz can fire at Eastbourne

Taylor Fritz reached the quarter-finals at Wimbledon last year and in 2022 and on both occasions he triumphed at Eastbourne.

The American is back on the south coast this week, stepping up his preparations for next week’s grass-court grand slam, and is 33/10 with BetMGM and Unibet to take the title he also won in 2019.

NBA odds: Rockets ready for take-off

They did it the hard way but Oklahoma City landed our 9/1 ante-post bet by winning the NBA championship with a 103-91 victory over Indiana Pacers in a gripping game seven.

The Thunder are 11/5 with bet365 and Betway to repeat next year but watch out for Houston Rockets at 10/1 with the same firms following their blockbuster trade for Kevin Durant.

The LA Lakers are also worth keeping an eye on at 15/1 with bet365 and Betway again after the news that they are being sold to Mark Walter, who is the majority owner of the LA Dodgers and a minority shareholder at Chelsea.

The deal is worth a mind-boggling $10billion (£7.46m), the highest ever paid for a sports franchise in the United States.
