The department explained that this type of deception corresponds to a phishing attack (identity theft), one of the most used techniques to steal sensitive information, in which Cybercriminals imitate the appearance of legitimate organizationsusing logos and the same visual style to generate trust.
Why is it dangerous?
Criminals use this information to commit crimes such as identity theft, perform fraudulent purchases or stealing moneyeven in your bank accounts.
Therefore, fraudulent messages often create a sense of urgency (for example, saying that your account has been blocked) to pressure you to act quickly so you don’t have time to analyze or reason whether the request is lawful.

The SSC shared a series of recommendations to prevent these frauds and so that you do not fall for them.
