Memo Méndez Guiú will receive the Grand Master Award and Emma Elena Valdelamar will receive the Posthumous Recognition, Juventino Rosas.

CDMX. The Society of Authors and Composers of Mexico (SACM), announced that in its XXI edition of “The SACM 2025 Success Awards” will celebrate their 80th anniversary, and announced that Alex Lora, Carín León, El Malilla, Humberto Pabón, Alejandro Jaén, Leonardo de Lozanne, Mónica Vélez, Chucho Rincón and Gil Rivera will be recognized for their performance.
On the other hand, Memo Méndez Guiú will receive the Grandmaster Award which is the highest recognition for a singer-songwriter and Emma Elena Valdelamar will receive the Posthumous Recognition, Juventino Rosas
In an interview for Grupo Cantón Roberto Cantoral Zucchi, general director of the association, announced:
“We are very happy, we have already celebrated 21 years of delivering this recognition, from Éxito SACM, we have done it with love and responsibility of whoever receives it, whether for their different manifestations due to their years of experience, posthumous tribute or for their outstanding work, and this year a recognition of traditional music is added,” he said.
Then exclusively with the legendary composer Memo Méndez Giu He shared with us “I feel very happy that they gave me this recognition, because it is my colleagues who will give it to me and if they chose me, for me it is a privilege. Then he told us that of the singers with whom he has worked, for him Benny stands out, since he has worked with him since he was a child, and he remembered that since he was 10 years old, being in the band Timbiriche, he told him that they would work together when he grew up and he has fulfilled that until now. “We continue working together,” he assured and then continued: “As for the Timbiriche reunion, it will happen, but they are trying to ensure that everyone can coincide due to their agendas,” he said.
Finally Martin UrrietaPresident of the Board of Directors, said: “It is a true pride to recognize my brother Memo Méndez Giu, who has left his mark on generations with songs that accompanied us in endearing moments,” he said while we remember “Princesa Tibetana”, “Amame hasta con los Teeth” and “SIn tí” by Benny.
The Awards will be broadcast on the SACM networks on October 22
