This article contains spoilers for tonight’s episode of EastEnders, which airs on BBC One at 7.30pm or can be streamed now on iPlayer.
Kat Moon (Jessie Wallace) has finally discovered the truth about husband Alfie’s (Shane Richie) countless lies.
We viewers have been privy to the fact he’s been trying to track down estranged step-daughter Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) for months, while poor Kat has been kept in the dark.
Lets face it – Alf’ was put in somewhat of an impossible situation, as Zoe asserted that she had done something ‘so bad’ that her family would disown her. The last person she wanted involved was her mum.
Having fled to Barcelona after a brief time spent staying with Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner), she hasn’t been seen since.
With her return imminent, it was only a matter of time before the cat was let out of the bag…
Where has Zoe Slater been?
As of today’s episode, we know she’s back in the UK.

Kat was preparing a barbecue for The Square residents, but Alfie was far more distracted by the fact he’d called Zoe, and the dialling tone had changed.
This meant she was no longer in Spain, but why exactly was she there? It seemed like a strange place to go, especially after fabricating an elaborate story, about loansharks hunting her down in the country.
Perhaps there was more truth to her tale than originally thought?
Alfie had followed her there – initially telling his suspicious wife that he was going to stay with brother Spencer (Christopher Parker) in Australia.
As the lies began to unravel, Stace’ said that Alfie was in a bad headspace after another cancer scare.
Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) later assumed that he was actually helping out his own estranged daughter Cherry, something which Kat then believed.
Spotting him on the phone and trying to speak to someone in Spanish, she questioned whether this was still his motive. Meanwhile, Jean overheard Zoe’s name and urged Stacey to reveal all.

She charged over to try and break the news herself, but a water fight broke out with Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) and her efforts were stunted.
Kat loses another child
While things were heating up at the barbie, Tommy Moon (Sonny Kendall) had decided to spend some more time with his vile mate Joel Marshall (Max Murray).
Kat and Alfie had feared that Joel’s influence over their son was worsening, and as we’ve seen, they were right to be concerned.
Joel lashed out in the café, just as Kat walked in and witnessed the outburst.
She marched Tommy across the road, where Jean was imploring Alfie and Stacey to end the Zoe ideal. They remained firm, but when Kat returned, Alfie knew that he had very little choice in the matter.
A guilt-ridden Tommy sat on the sofa, while Kat opened up about her concerns.

She said she couldn’t cope with him thinking it’s acceptable to treat women badly, and when he denied any involvement in Joel’s behaviour, she recalled the time he hit her and spent several months in foster care.
An emotional Kat asserted that if Tommy was happier living like that, he was welcome to, and old enough to make that decision.
He stormed out, and later broke down crying in the play park. Opening his phone, Tommy send a text message to Zoe.
‘You don’t know me… but I’m your brother,’ it read.
‘I can’t deal with mum anymore either.’
Concern began to grow for the teen when he didn’t return home, and Kat said that she had to just accept that another of her children wanted to cut her off.
It was at this moment that Alfie spilled – and Kat’s face dropped – he’s been trying to track down Zoe.
