Alison Hammond has claimed that she and her boyfriend ‘do not need’ to get married.

The This Morning host, 50, is currently dating masseuse David Putman, 28, who was born and raised in Russia.

The pair struck up a romance from friendship after she became a client of his back in 2023.

Over the last couple of years, the duo have been spotted out looking loved up in a series of paparazzi pictures.

Now, however, the Great British Bake Off co-host has issued a firm response when asked whether marriage might be on the cards for her and David.

Discussing how things are going with her boyfriend, who is 22 years younger than her, she told the Mirror: ‘Things are going really, really well. He just has the most beautiful energy and everyone feels it when they’re in his presence.

‘It’s very rare. I am so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.’

Alison, who shot to fame on the third series of Big Brother in 2002, contiued: ‘It’s a lovely feeling to be in love.

‘It makes you more patient, it makes you kinder, because you’ve always got somebody you want to care for — and they’re caring for you.’

But, when asked about marrying him, she added: ‘No, there are no plans for weddings or marriage right now, because we don’t feel like we need to.

‘We live together and we’re happy the way it is. I don’t need a ring to show my love to somebody.’

‘What I will say is, if he asked me tomorrow to marry him, it wouldn’t be a “no”. That’s all I’m going to say to you.’

This comes after she previously said that her relationship with David ‘fits like a jigsaw’.

Earlier this year, the 50-year-old revealed her 15-year long feud with a ‘very rude’ I’m A Celebrity campmate.

Appearing on spin-off I’m A Celebrity Unpacked, she reignited her quarrel with Happy Mondays singer Shaun Ryder.

‘When I went in there, I’ll never forget, I walked in and said the party’s here with my Terry’s Chocolate Orange and everyone was like [unbothered face],’ she recalled.

‘Then, Shaun Ryder hated my guts straight away. He was very rude!’

She added: ‘So hopefully there are no Shaun Ryders in there.’
