We reach a huge turning point in Casualty this week, as the person behind the drug thefts and tampering is confirmed at long last.
Scroll down to find out!
Also in the ED, Rash Masum (Neet Mohan) takes another step forward in his relationship with Sunny Callahan (Jamie Marie Leavy), while Nicole Piper (Sammy T Dobson) makes two heart-breaking discoveries.
In the ambulance station, Iain Dean (Michael Stevenson) works hard to get back into Jacob Master’s (Charles Venn) good books after accusing him of stealing the morphine. He stumbles across key information that clears his name thankfully, but Jacob knows some bridges have been burnt as a result of this.
Here’s all the drama taking place in this week’s instalment.
The morphine thief is revealed
The main arc of this boxset has been about someone tampering and stealing drugs from the hospital.
It has caused a multitude of problems for the staff. As their stresses have increased, characters have been accused of being behind the crime.
In this week’s episode though, you will discover who is responsible for causing the complete chaos as Sunny Callahan is seen switching labels on vials in the pharmacy…
Ngozi’s exit is confirmed

Ngozi Okoye (Adesuwa Oni) misses her AA appointment because she’s busy looking after Obi. When Dylan Keogh (William Beck) discovers this, he tells Ngozi that if a parent is happy, the child will be as well. It gives Ngozi food for thought but despite this, she still tells Obi they can go back to Nigeria.
Later, Nicole opens up to Ngozi. She tells her that her birth mother abandoned her and she doesn’t know why.
She admits that she grew up in chaos, and kicked Ngozi out because she was worried she would bring that back to her door. Nicole says that she should’ve been braver and wonders if there’s a future for them after all, but Ngozi breaks her heart by confirming she’s leaving.
Nicole starts a search

Nicole is confident that she can get Cassie to safety from the gang. She sees Cassie off at the train station, but is then pressures into going into work for the morning.
There, Nicole soon learns that Cassie has been attacked by the gang in a carpark. She is brought into the ED alongside Fraser, her attacker. It’s a worrying ordeal but in a touching moment, Nicole tells Cassie just how much she means to her.
Cassie then takes a turn for the worse. She gets intubated and then sent to ITU. As this happens, Nicole confronts Fraser, but he refuses to tell her anything out of fear the gang will kill him. Feeling guilty, Nicole decides to track down Cassie’s biological family. At the same time though, she can’t help but ask her colleague for her own care file…
Rash gets boyfriend status

On his first day off antidepressants, Rash is determined to prove that he’s made the right decision, but he feels nervous when Sunny asks him to meet Jake, her son. He cancels on their plans, but then tells Sunny about his nerves following a confidence boost from Rida (Sarah Seggari). The couple go from strength to strength as Sunny calls Rash her boyfriend.
Just as she wraps up her shifts, Sunny smiles as she watches Rash, who is busy trying to talk to Jake.
Poor Rash remains unaware as the episode ends that his new love interest has been responsible for multiple deaths in the hospital.
When he finds out (come on, it’s Casualty, of course he will), how will Rash react?
Iain and Faith reach a bump in the road

Iain now believes that Jacob isn’t the morphine thief. The problem is though, Faith Cadogan (Kirsty Mitchell) doesn’t. Faith is certain she did the right thing by reporting Jacob but when Iain presents her with proof that Jacob isn’t responsible, she feels awful.
The incident brings deep rooted resentment towards Iain to the forefront of Faith’s mind. She admits that she still feels angry at him for reporting her to Max during the height of her drug problem. Iain points out to Faith that unlike Jacob, she was guilty.
Ouch.
Faith and Iain are left on the rocks after this – what does their future look like?
Jacob’s name is cleared
Jacob arrives at work in his paramedic uniform, but is irked when Jan Jennings (Di Botcher) puts him on desk duties for the day while the investigation is taking place.
Jacob is unable to forgive Faith for the betrayal but later, when Iain is able to prove that his mate is innocent, he feels relieved that his name will be cleared.
