Coronation Street delivers the drama once again next week and we’ve got three brand new clips to tide you until your next visit to the cobbles.
‘But what’s happening next week?’, I hear you ask. Well, what isn’t happening would probably be a better question given that the twists and turns will be in high supply.
Carla Connor (Alison King) bravely asks Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) for her mum Lisa’s (Vicky Myers) hand in marriage and what follows is an unexpectedly lovely moment, which you can watch for yourself below.
Our hearts are full.
Debbie Webster (Sue Devaney), meanwhile, finds herself contemplating attending the dementia choir, while Theo (James Cartwright) loses his temper with Billy Mayhew (Daniel Brocklebank).
Elsewhere, Brody (Ryan Mulvey) is up to no good with some assistance from Dylan Wilson (Liam McCheyne) – and it’s not too long before they’re caught out.
If all of that sounds right up your street (see what I did there?) then you’re in luck as Metro has three new videos of next week’s drama to enjoy right now.
Monday September 1
Carla asks Betsy for her blessing to propose to Lisa. Betsy is taken aback, saying that this is the happiest she’s seen her mum in a long time and therefore the answer is yes.
The pair share a warm hug as they celebrate the special moment. With the proposal around the corner, the question is: just what will Lisa’s answer be?
Are they a step closer to their happy ever after?
Possibly not, as a recent trailer hints at more drama for the detective so we’ll just have to wait and see what transpires.

Wednesday September 3
Debbie looks closely at a leaflet for the dementia choir as Billy says hello. Theo, meanwhile, isn’t pleased to see Todd in a photograph shared online on social media by Sarah.
As Billy approaches, Theo makes his feelings well and truly known in a sinister showdown.
Theo’s behaviour will continue to spiral, as confirmed in a trailer for the ITV soap from earlier in the week. The teaser hints at a physical abuse storyline, as Theo is seen confronting Todd and grabbing him by the face.
Todd has been determined to help Theo through his challenges, certain they could get through anything together.
‘I think we have a more mature version of Todd now’, star Gareth Pierce told Metro last month.
‘I think going through losing a young friend like Paul, it’s made him rehabilitate himself and prove he’s changed. I think we definitely do have a more mature version of Todd that is maybe able to deal with what life throws at him, but we can’t forget that not too long ago we had a Todd that felt a little bit like the boy that had never grown up.
‘I think he might have a creeping feeling that this is too big for him and that he is out of his depth but also, I think he’s changed to the point that he’s more likely to see fault in himself than the other person, and be willing to try.’
Friday September 5
Dylan helps Brody force the lock of a car with a metal bar.
Brody succeeds in getting access but, as he prepares to drive off with the vehicle, Dylan realises that James has caught them in the act!
