Another week of drama in the Dales! (Picture: Shutterstock/Metro)

It’s another week of high stakes, especially for poor Dylan Penders (Fred Kettle) when his past is exposed and he later finds himself in a deadly showdown with a vengeful (and pitchfork wielding) Moira Dingle (Natalie J Robb).

Secrets are exposed and Vanity fans will rejoice as Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) steps in to help her crumbling ex-girlfriend Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) next week as she navigates her current situation, amidst a hounding from potential two-time baby daddy Ross Barton (Michael Parr).

Elsewhere, Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) is wracked with guilt at the wreckage he’s caused in Kammy Hadiq’s (Shebz Miah) life.

Metro, as ever, has all the tea you need prior to yet another dramatic week in the Dales.

When Ross eavesdrops on Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) telling Vanessa that Charity and Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), he confronts Charity about whether or not Mack bolted due to finding out about their drunken night, she tells him no and sends him packing.

There’s a Vanity reunion later when Vanessa offers Charity support, leading to a troubled Charity breaking down and admitting that the baby she’s carrying might not be Sarah’s, but stops short of correcting Vanessa when she presumes it’s Mack’s.

Although Vanessa urges her to tell her family the truth, Charity is always gonna Charity and she decides to bury her head firmly in the sand.

Ray Walters stands beside Dylan Penders in the village
Ray continues to manipulate Dylan (Picture: ITV)

Elsewhere, Ray Walters (Joe Absolom) continues to manipulate Dylan, suggesting that Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt) may have ulterior motives in taking him in, though promises Ray he’ll keep an eye on him, sweetening the deal with an advanced payment for a future drug drop.

Also today, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) is shaken to the core when Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) tells her that Kammy was responsible for the battering ‘Mike’ gave Vinny. Though Kammy pleads his innocence, Belle’s fear of falling for another violent man results in her dumping him.

April Windsor (Amelia Flanagan) panics when she sees Dylan getting into a strangers car. When dad Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock) expresses confusion over her anxiety, April opens up about Dylan’s previous experiences as a sex worker.

After Marlon informs Paddy of what he’s learned, April is relieved to learn that Dylan was doing a drug deal and not sex work, though Dylan is utterly wounded when Paddy and Marlon catch up to them and he realises that they know about his past.

Back at Tenants, Dylan opens up about the hurt and betrayal he feels and spirals further when April tells him that she loves him.

Charity’s problems intensify as Ross is like a dog with a bone and continues to hound her about the baby’s true parentage. Charity lies that she’s had a test, but when she’s unable to provide proof (’cause she actually hasn’t), Ross insists on another test.

Vinny feels hideous when he’s unable to tell Belle the truth about his attack, though tries to convince her of Kammy’s true good nature, and feels worse later when Kammy refuses to accept his apology.

When he sees Belle refuse Kammy’s request for another chance, he’s completely wracked with guilt, while elsewhere in the village, Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter) desperately urges Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) to let go of the idea of reuniting with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller)

Dylan’s spirits are lifted when, during a heart to heart with Paddy, the kind vet tells him that he won’t judge him for what he did in the past. Encouraged, he meets with Ray and tells him he wants a break from drug dealing when Marlon offers him a job at the Woolpack.

Later, Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn) is horrified to see Dylan, recognising him as the person who attacked Butler’s Farm. Although Dylan begs Kyle to keep the information to himself, Kyle takes the information straight to Moira, who swears vengeance against Dylan

Blind to the potential repercussions, Chas convinces Dylan to head to Butler’s to help Moira on the farm. Although anxious at first, Dylan settles when Moira doesn’t let on that she’s fully aware he attempted to rob her farm.

When April learns of Dylan’s whereabouts, she’s forced to reveal the truth to a disgusted Chas and ropes Marlon in to head to the farm and rescue him.

It may all prove to be too late, though, as Moira arms herself with a pitchfork and corners Dylan in the barn, swearing that he’ll be punished – and she intends to deliver his punishment personally.

Elsewhere, it’s a battle of legacies as Ross and Robert go head to head over who can farm faster. Carrying the weight of their family names, it’s the Bartons versus the Sugdens as the two fall into competition.
