Vinny Dingle (Bradley Johnson) ends up in a nightmarish position in Emmerdale next week, as someone overhears his private conversation with Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah).
Things have been awkward between the two pals ever since Vinny tried to kiss Kammy. He keeps brushing it off, but faces unavoidable questions soon when he’s forced to visit the garage.
Also next week, Joe Tate (Ned Porteous) is backed into a corner when Doctor Crowley (James Hillier) returns. He was the person who performed the illegal kidney transplant operation earlier this year – will he succeed in getting revenge on Joe?

Tuesday, July 8
Joe’s fearful as the harassment campaign against him culminates in an envelope containing a blackmail demand for £100,000. Unsure of who to trust, Joe shows the letter to Sam Dingle (James Hooton), but he’s none the wiser. Soon, Joe suspects sidekick Shaun might be behind this, so he sacks him.
Just as Joe plots to leave the village for a ‘business trip’, he gets knocked out cold by a shovel-wielding Shaun.
Also in the village, Victoria (Isabel Hodgins) is delighted with the news about Annie’s field, but Robert (Ryan Hawley) avoids discussing the plan he has for the land. When Ross (Michael Parr) then confronts him about the missing weed, Robert threatens to cancel the land deal with Moira (Natalie J Robb), forcing Ross to back down.
Meanwhile, Vinny faces unavoidable questions about his sexuality when he takes Gabby’s (Rosie Bentham) car to the garage. When she then passes by while on the phone to Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy), a glitch on the call allows Laurel to overhear Vinny’s conversation with Kammy (Shebz Miah) about relationships.
Elsewhere, Charity (Emma Atkins) worries about Sarah (Katie Hill) as she returns home from hospital. Sarah tries to help Cain with preparations ahead of Nate’s memorial, but she puts on a brave face for him, knowing he’s carrying a heavy emotional burden.
Up at Home Farm, Kim (Claire King) prepares to tell Dawn (Olivia Bromley) about her new relationship, and Gabby decides that her crash diet appears to be working.
Thursday, July 10
Eager to distract herself from her recovery, Sarah heads to work at the garage. Cain (Jeff Hordley) isn’t best pleased to see her, but lets her work due to the fact he’s also wanting a distraction from his problems. Sarah’s morning task is to take Gabby’s car for a diagnostic drive. They go together, but Gabby starts to feel woozy and passes out at the wheel as a result of her not eating properly.
Sarah is forced to try and get control of the wheel but given her hysterectomy, this causes great pain for her. At A&E, Gabby is given the all clear, and an overwhelmed Vinny buries his doubts about his relationship and showers Gabby with love.
Meanwhile, Cain visits Sarah and she tearily tells him that the accident made her realise how badly she wants a family of her own. When Charity enters, she is stunned to hear Cain suggesting that Sarah tries surrogacy, determined to help her fulfil her dream.
Elsewhere, Joe wakes up in a hospital room after being knocked out. Standing in front of him is Doctor Crowley.
Also, Laurel demands a private word with Vinny, Cain feels guilty about the situation with Nate again, and Lewis (Bradley Riches) gets a new job in the café.
Friday, July 11
Joe feels fearful as Crowley plots revenge, Sarah and Cain seek further guidance, while Nicola (Nicola Wheeler) sees a new way of working in the aftermath of hiring Lewis.
