Neighbours is lining up potential heartbreak for Wendy Rodwell (Candice Leask) next week, as she comes dangerously close to unveiling her husband Andrew’s (Lloyd Will) affair.
He’s been secretly meeting up with Holly Hoyland (Lucinda Armstrong-Hall) for weeks, and the pair were eventually spotted by Rhett Norman (Liam Maguire).
His boyfriend Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson) was in disbelief, but after seeing them together with his own eyes next week, he takes matters into his own hands.
The realisation couldn’t come at a worse time, as Aaron prepares to bid farewell to Ramsay Street for a new life in Adelaide. But can he do it with so many skeletons in his closet?
Elsewhere, the identity of the Lassiters Jewellery Expo saboteur is unearthed, as Annalise Hartman (Kimberley Davies) toys with her feelings for ex-husband Sam Kratz (Richard Grieve), who has returned to Erinsborough after three decades.
Plus, the Varga-Murphys seem to be on the path to happiness when Remi (Naomi Rukavina) recalls her wedding day to Cara (Sara West). But is everything as it seems?
Here’s a look at next week’s Neighbours…
Monday, August 25
Aaron and Rhett are trying to spend as much time as possible with one another, but their busy schedules are clearly a problem.

Nicolette can see how much Aaron is hurting with the prospect of going long distance with Rhett, and Jane reveals that she deliberately interfered by telling Aaron her daughter’s true feelings over the move.
Mother and daughter are then caught off guard when they realise that Rhett has overheard everything. He implores Nic to help change Aaron’s mind on the move, and she’s left guilt-ridden.
When the family sit down for a meeting, Nicolette and Jane give him their blessing to move to Adelaide. The end of an era!
Aaron is very aware of how Isla will feel, and ensures he talks her through the details and why he needs to do it. Despite her young age, she’s very understanding and showers him in love. It’s now an official move.
Over at Lassiters, Paul is furious by Lucy’s ban and tries to ignore it, but it’s soon made clear that he’s still in the bad books and needs to stay away.

Annalise is spooked when she seems to spot her ex, Sam Kratz. The last she saw of him he was living in England, so why would he be in Australia?
She starts to consider that given he knew her email passport, he could still be accessing her account. What she doesn’t realise is that he is indeed back in the country and visiting the Kennedys after 30 years away.
Susan encourages him to approach her, but he’s immediately met with hostility. She’s had it confirmed by the IT department that someone has been accessing the emails, and she angrily accuses him of trying to sabotage the Jewellery Expo.
Is Sam really responsible?
Tuesday, August 26
Annalise is hesitant to believe that Sam didn’t sabotage her job, and he wholeheartedly apologises for his mistakes during their marriage and hopes that she will start a new life with him in Lorne.

She’s torn by his manipulative behaviour and fears he’s lost her forever, that is – until – Susan steps in with some advice and helps Annalise find clarity.
Despite everything, she still loves him and agrees to try again. They’re all set to start a new life together.
As the Expo begins, Paul is sidelined from the main event but he finds a sly way to integrate himself in the ceremony. Unfortunately, Team Lassiters have discovered that their display has been vandalised overnight, and the whole day has been put in jeopardy.
While Annalise finds a creative solution to keep director Johan happy, she can’t help but wonder if this is another instance of Sam’s sabotage.
Taye spots Katrina Marshall taking a suspicious phone call and then busts her when she sets off a fire alarm in the Complex. She admits that she’s been causing the disruptions for Brett Heade, the temporary hotel manager who she was briefly romantically involved with.
He’d coaxed her into creating chaos as a means of getting revenge on his former employers.

With the mystery solved and Annalise making her departure, Paul expects to be reinstated – but Krista won’t allow it. The time has come for him to step back.
Elsewhere, Cara and Remi are in a better place after their fallout, and the family decide to enjoy an easy day out at the Expo.
Cara begins to tell the story of how she proposed, and Remi suddenly chimes in. Both of them are stunned. Is her memory returning?
Wednesday, August 27
Cara is thrilled by the fact her wife’s memory could be returning, but Remi feels overwhelmed by the weight of her expectation.
She talks it through with Karl and commits to trying to jog her memory further. However, when Dex reminds Cara that he reenacted his mum’s unique proposal for a school assignment, she begins to worry that this is what she’s recalling, rather than the actual event.

Heading to break the news, she suddenly can’t bring herself to go through with it. Nicolette, however, is jealous and decides to spill the beans to Remi.
Across the road, Taye makes up a lie about an imaginary girlfriend named Belinda, hoping that it will evoke jealousy in Sadie.
While she chats to Max about Holly, he can’t help but draw suspicion to Taye’s new love interest. He reveals all about how Belinda is fabricated, and later, Sadie decides to play along with the lie.
She sets a trap by saying she’s met Belinda, which leaves Taye completely and utterly confused.
Elsewhere, Wendy and Andrew head to the Complex to see who has won the amateur jewellery competition. Max and Holly are also there, and there’s awkwardness simmering beneath the surface.

When Max buys Holly some expensive earrings and she’s suddenly riddled with guilt and flees. She meets Andrew by the lake and they suggest meeting up at the V Bar in the CBD, unaware that Aaron is witnessing the tense exchange.
Suspicious, he follows them into the city and spots her hugging Andrew. Is the affair about to be exposed?
Thursday, August 28
Aaron watches from a distance and sees Holly and Andrew disappear into the V Bar. Inside, they have an open discussion about their future and Holly admits that she knows the affair must end.
They part ways, agreeing to act normal when they see one another at Aaron and Rhett’s farewell party.

Back on Ramsay Street, Andrew is stunned to receive a message from Aaron, revealing that he saw them both in the city. Deciding to come clean, he pours his heart out and reveals his deep regret.
Aaron is unsure whether to keep the secret.
The next morning, Holly recommits to Max, just as Aaron summons both her and Andrew to No. 26’s back garden. He agrees to not say anything to Wendy, just as she approaches them.
Is this game over?
Elsewhere, Remi confronts Cara about her not revealing that her memory was false, and she has now realised that it was Dex’s stop-motion media piece retelling the engagement that she remembered.

Cara apologises and admits she was enjoying the moment, and to her surprise, Remi says she did too. She wants to remember everything they had, and it feels like progress.
Plus, Taye can’t believe it when his mystery date night with imaginary Belinda turns out to be Sadie. She finds it hilarious, and their chemistry is back on fine form.
