Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s acclaimed BBC comedy Fleabag, which has been described as an ‘anarchistic breath of fresh air’, has raced up Amazon Prime Video’s rankings.
Based on Phoebe’s Edinburgh Fringe show, the two-season drama has wowed critics over the years with its dry humour, fourth-wall-breaks and candid exploration of messy sisterhood and even messier grief.
The multi-Emmy-winning show, which aired from 2016 to 2019, has even landed a rare 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Now, after being binged by viewers on Amazon Prime, the series appears to be finding an entirely new fanbase all over again.
Taking to X, Rolsito declared that since Fleabag is currently trending on the streaming service, they ‘recommend it as one of the best series I have seen’, giving it ’10/10′.
@sligfo similarly said after binge watching both series that it is ‘just incredible’, calling Andrew Scott’s casting in season two ‘sheer genius’.
Previously, @missezramay wrote on X: ‘Just rewatched for the 50th time, the EMMY-winning, exquisite masterpiece that is Fleabag Season 2, Episode 1. Not one single fault. PERFECTION.’
‘Snarky, meta, and filled with brutal honesty. A comedy must-see! Easily one of the best comedies of our generation,’ Rotten Tomatoes user Cue D also shared.
Savannah G echoed this, calling it her ‘favourite show of all time, as Lewis G agreed: ‘I just watched this again for the first time in years and it is still INCREDIBLE. Such a well written, funny, sad, well-acted show. One of the best of all time.’

Adam M added: ‘Elite tier series. The balance between heart and humour that packs a punch!’
The series follows titular character Fleabag (Phoebe) after the sudden death of her best friend and cafe business partner Boo (Jenny Rainsford).
In her quest to process her grief, find love and thrive in the busy streets of London, we meet her polar opposite sister, Claire (Sian Clifford), haughty stepmother Matrigna (Olivia Coleman) and, of course, Hot Priest (played by Andrew).
There’s sexcapades, gut-wrenching moments of platonic and romantic love, and plenty of awkward blunders along the way.
But for those of you who have already seen Fleabag and you’re desperate for some more Phoebe content, then fear not!
Earlier this month, fans got a sneak preview of Sophie Turner as Lara Croft in the new Tomb Raider adaptation which is being written by Phoebe.
The series, which is based on the iconic video game franchise, follows the adventures of the archaeologist and world-famous adventurer as she takes on a series of code-cracking mysteries.
