The Mexican fighters will honor 9 opponents from 5 foreign companies

MEXICO CITY.- The honor of Mexican women’s wrestling will be at stake this Friday, October 24, in the ring of the Arena México, where 9 Aztec gladiators from the World Wrestling Council (CMLL) They will face the stars of foreign companies AEW, STARDOM, ROH, MLW y REVPRO in it Amazonas Grand Prix 2025.

This event is already considered one of the most important women’s tournaments on the international circuit and can be seen in Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as Mexico.

The tournament will be held under a classic team elimination format and the tough and technical Mexicans will have to put aside their differences to face their foreign rivals and ensure that the trophy stays in Mexico. The team that retains at least one active fighter will be the winner.

The CMLL team will be made up of La Jarochita, Lluvia, Reyna Isis, India Sioux, Skadi, Persephone (Born in the United States, but with Mexican nationality), Olympia, Zeuxis (Born in Puerto Rico, but with Mexican nationality) and La Catalina (of Chilean nationality, but who will form an alliance with the Mexicans to represent the CMLL.

For its part, the international team will be made up of Japanese stars Hazuki (STARDOM), Koguma (STARDOM), Mina Shirakawa (STARDOM) and Shoko Nakajima (MLW); in addition to the Americans Julia Hart and Skye Blue, and the Austrian Thekla, from the AEW company. The rest of the team is completed by Diamanté (ROH) and Kanji from the United Kingdom, belonging to the REVPRO company.

It should be remembered that, in 2024, Reyna Isis established herself as the champion of the Grand Prix Amazonas after beating Red Velvet, current ROH World Television Champion, in the final.

A year earlier, Dark Silueta surprised with its resistance and aggressive style, beating national and international rivals with forceful holds.

This year will be a different edition, as different styles of wrestling will be combined, which has made the Grand Prix of Amazonas consolidate itself as the most prestigious women’s tournament in Mexico and the world.
