There have been a number of fresh tips in the Amy Bradley case following the release of Amy Bradley Is Missing on Netflix, the show’s creators have confirmed.
The creators said the case, that still hasn’t been solved, had a distinct lack of evidence previously. But, they are now hopeful that with the added interest the Netflix documentary has provided, Amy might be found.
In March 1998, Amy Bradley went missing from a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. She was 23 at the time of her disappearance, and was a a recent college graduate, travelling with her family. On the night Amy went missing, she had been in the club on the ship, then was last seen in the early hours of the morning, on the balcony of the family cabin. When her father went to check on her later that morning, she was no longer there.
Filmmaker Ari Mark has said the show has since had a number of tips about the case. “[We’re] very pleased with how the series has been received. The buzz around the show is incredible,” he said. “That’s what we want. The more people that know Amy’s story – the better.”

He then said a few tips have come in since the three-part show, but nobody wants to get their hopes up yet. Information is still in the stages of being verified. He added: “We have had a few leads come in, but I can’t discuss them and they’re not verified yet, so they may very likely be false leads.
“This was always about one thing: Finding Amy. But to ensure that the audience is activated, they have to want to help. To use Iva Bradley’s [Amy’s mother] words, they are ‘over the moon’ that Amy’s story is finally getting this level of attention. Everyone in the world now knows her name.
“I prefer to believe that Amy is alive. But there’s so little tangible official ‘evidence’ in this case that it’s impossible to know. So much grey area, especially when it comes to timelines. Remember, no cell phones and virtually no cameras, so we really can’t track people’s whereabouts, which means we can’t take anything as fact.”
Ari Mark previously said Amy Bradley’s mother thinks the Netflix doc will help Amy be found, and he agrees. He explained: “I had Iva Bradley calling me every day, saying, ‘All of our eggs are in your basket. We’re relying on you to find her.’ That’s quite a responsibility. So the hope is that having this be on a platform like Netflix brings them one step closer. And I really believe it will.”
The show’s creators also previously shared they think Amy is alive, and back the theory she may have been taken and trafficked. Speaking about the photos found on an adult website, claiming to be of Amy Bradley, they said they are “very convincing” and “blew us away”.
