During the Amy Bradley documentary on Netflix, a man called Alister “Yellow” Douglas is mentioned as having been of interest after her disappearance.
On March 23rd 1998, Amy Bradley went missing. Amy had been on a family holiday on a Royal Caribbean cruise ship. She and her brother had been out at a club on board, and returned to the family cabin in the early hours. Later that morning, when Amy’s father went to check on her, she wasn’t there.
Footage shows the last caught moments of Amy before she went missing. She can be seen dancing in the club on the boat, alongside Alister “Yellow” Douglas. Alister was an entertainer on the Rhapsody of the Seas ship at the time. He played bass guitar in a band. A witness featured in the Netflix series claimed they saw Amy and Alister together, right before she is known to have vanished.

So, where is Alister Douglas following the Amy Bradley case?
As the investigation was first taking place, Alister was questioned by the FBI and voluntarily took a polygraph test. He was released without charge, and there has never been any evidence he had anything to do with whatever may have happened.
As is to be expected, Alister Douglas went quite off-radar following the Amy Bradley case. However, he gave a rare interview to True Crime This Week Investigates in 2024.
“Alister has kept a low profile for many years,” the host on the show said. It was said Alister was tracked down on the island of Grenada, where he is “an exorcist” and a reverend who runs a church of about 40 to 50 people. The host said it is a “little shack on the side of a mountain.”

During the interview, Alister gave his best recollection of how he remembers the last night Amy was seen. He said his band finished playing “a little after 12pm” and then he “clearly” remembered Amy coming over. She said hello, and complimented the set.
After this, he told Amy they were going up to the Viking Lounge – the club on board. Alister went to change first. He saw her next on the decking outside – which matches up to the witness statement given in the Netflix doc. They then went up to the club together. He said they were only there until around 1am.
“That was my last conversation [with Amy], it was the last time I saw her,” Alister said. He has always maintained he had nothing to do with Amy’s disappearance.
