In the most recent episodes, there has been a lot of discussion of whether each Love Island 2025 couple is actually compatible. Shakira and Ty were voted most compatible, and Ben and Andrada the least.
So following this, The Tab asked an expert to give the lowdown of who in the villa might actually have a strong connection, and could work together. Speaking on behalf of Spin Genie, relationship expert Jacob Lucas dished all, and didn’t hold back. So who is in it for the long haul? And who doesn’t stand a chance?
Emma and Conor – 2/10 compatibility

via ITV
After Casa, Conor decided to bring back Emma to the main villa. But, Jacob doesn’t see this lasting. “Emma and Conor don’t have a strong level of compatibility,” he told The Tab. “We’ve seen them clashing recently, and Conor being more open to exploring something with Shakira hasn’t helped them progress with their connection. I also don’t think Emma fancies Conor – the conversations come across as forced and quite confrontational. We can’t see them having much fun together or getting to know each other on a deeper level. “
Shakira and Ty – 4/10 compatibility

via ITV
We might have thought our girl Shakira finally had someone in Ty after Casa, but recently, it’s been all change once again. Jacob said: “If Shakira was invested in Ty emotionally, she wouldn’t even be considering Conor as an option.
“Shakira said herself that she and Conor are friends, but I think that because her bond with Ty isn’t as strong as we thought, this is why she’s open to getting to know him on a romantic level. I think she finds Ty physically attractive and they get on well together, but there is something about Conor that’s drawing her in, and possibly because they’ve been friends since day one, so the trust between them is a lot stronger, and they know each other better.”
Helena and Harry – 3/10 compatibility

via ITV
Shock! A relationship expert sees right through the chaos of Helena and Harry. Speaking to The Tab, Jacob said: “Helena and Harry have been through a lot at this point. It’s clear they have romantic chemistry with one another, and they are starting to get to know each other pretty well.
“However, if Harry really felt strongly about Helena, he would not have been treating her the way he has been. And as he said himself, he has treated her the way he has because she’s been very laid back about it all. If they were to go ahead and make things official and eventually move into a relationship, this could become toxic purely because I can’t see his behaviours changing – as well as the way Helena’s taken it on board openly. She’s let it all slide.”
Meg and Dejon – 2/10 compatibility

via ITV
Yikes! Jacob gave a brutal two to day one couple, Meg and Dejon. “Meg has deep feelings for Dejon at this point, but I don’t even think Dejon likes Meg! They spend more time arguing than getting to know each other romantically,” he said.
“Similarly to Harry, Dejon would not have even shown interest in other girls or declared himself as ‘open’ if he truly had feelings for Meg. He also asked her to be exclusive days after getting to know Andrada in Casa Amor. He’s been giving Meg and Andrada really mixed signals, which tells us his heart isn’t truly with anyone. I don’t believe he’s being genuine with Meg or anyone.”
Yasmin and Jamie – 8/10 compatibility

via ITV
Speaking of Yasmin and Jamie, Jacob said they’re “a relatively new couple, but they seem to be strong together as a couple.” He added: “They have good chemistry, have fun together and seem to be connecting on a strong level. Yasmin and Jamie are also very relaxed and at ease with each other when they’re alone together. This tells us they’re genuinely interested in each other and things are in a good place. They are one of the strongest couples in the villa.”
Toni and Cach – 4/10 compatibility

via ITV
We’re on a rollercoaster with Toni right now, and Jacob agrees. He said: “Cach is a great guy; he’s mature and genuinely feels connected to Toni. He’s good for her because they balance each other out quite well. I think Toni is attracted to Cach, and she feels at ease with him. He makes her feel comfortable and listened to. However, it does speak volumes that she’s still undecided about Harrison, despite him treating her poorly before. She will definitely give Harrison another opportunity – it’s clear there are still feelings there from her side.”
Toni and Harrison – 2/10 compatibility

via ITV
But, that doesn’t mean Toni and Harrison will be a good match! “Toni and Harrison aren’t compatible at all. I think Harrison excites Toni, he’s fun to be around, and he knows how to charm her,” Jacob said.
“I think because Harrison knows she likes him deep down, he is able to still go to her for validation and attention. If they got back together, the same thing would happen all over again when a different girl comes along. She needs to stay clear!”
Lauren and Harrison – 3/10 compatibility

via ITV
So, what about Lauren and Harrison? Jacob said: “Lauren really likes Harrison. Her heart is with him and with him only. Harrison is essentially playing the field; he doesn’t know where to go – he’s having fun and stringing Lauren along. She’s been vulnerable with him, and I think because he knows she’s into him, he’s taking advantage of her feelings. He isn’t being honest about the extent of what he feels towards Toni. I don’t think things will work between them purely because Lauren likes Harrison more than he likes her.”
Lucy and Tommy – 7/10 compatibility

via ITV
Lucy and Tommy have now been dumped, but have said they’re going to give things a go outside the villa. Jacob told The Tab: “Tommy and Lucy really get on well together. We haven’t seen very much of them since Casa Amor, but that tells us they’re in a good place with each other. I think they’re smooth-sailing in this relationship. We’ve seen a different side to Tommy, and he seems very settled with Lucy compared to his time with Megan.”
Billykiss and Boris – 4/10 compatibility

via ITV
Another new couple after Casa has been Billykiss and Boris. “Billykiss and Boris seem to get on well, but I struggle to see any sparks between them,” Jacob said. “They have shown that they are interested in getting to know each other on a deeper level, but from what I’ve seen, they lack chemistry, and it comes across as more of a friendship than anything.”
Shakira and Conor – New couple

via ITV
Shakira and Conor have only just coupled up, so a full rating is hard to give. But on initial thoughts, Jacob said: “Conor and Shakira would make a really good couple. They seem to be very compatible, they have a similar sense of humour, and you can tell they can have fun together. I think this is the case with many couples who are friends before, as they’ve already established their connection and trust before exploring anything romantic. They could easily win the show.” Strong words!
Emma and Harry – Potential couple

via ITV
What about if the exes got back together? Jacob has some thoughts. He said: “I personally have a feeling Emma still has feelings for Harry. She talks about him a lot in her spare time. In Casa Amor, she was very much putting on a hard exterior and saying she didn’t go in for him, but she picks up on a lot of his behaviour, so she seems to be very observant and keeping a close eye.
“If she was over their relationship, she wouldn’t be talking about him so heavily or caring about what he’s doing in there. I think Harry similarly has some feelings towards Emma, but I think he is in a place of wanting to move on to find someone new. But I can see Emma opening the door for him to start things up again.”
