ANOTHER woman has now been ‘identified’ as the ‘Phillies Karen’ and I can’t keep up – Bundlezy

ANOTHER woman has now been ‘identified’ as the ‘Phillies Karen’ and I can’t keep up

Everyone is trying to identify the ‘Phillies Karen’ who snatched a kid’s baseball in that viral video, and a new name is now circling social media.

In the video, a dad adorably gives a home run ball that has been batted into the left stands at a Philadelphia Phillies vs Miami Marlins game to his son Lincoln as a present for his 10th birthday.

An angry woman who has been named the “Phillies Karen” then storms over and tells him to give it back because she picked it up first. Eventually, the dad grabs the ball from his son and gives it to her.

First, it was someone called Cheryl Richardson-Wagner, then Leslie-Ann Kravitz and now the name Karen Cairny has cropped up. Is she the woman in the video?!

So, is Karen Cairny the ‘Phillies Karen’ from that viral baseball video?

No, Karen Cairny isn’t the “Phillies Karen”. The fake rumour started on Facebook, where a viral post claimed she was a woman from Philadelphia and had been fired from her job as a parking ticket enforcement officer.

“BREAKING: 🚨 “Philly Karen” has FINALLY been identified and the internet is losing their mind,” it says. “Her name is KAREN Cairny from Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia.”

The post continues: “The works as a parking ticket enforcement officer in the Fishtown district. She has been reportedly been relieved of her position as the department don’t want the negative publicity.”

It quickly spread across Facebook and everyone thought the woman from the viral clip had been identified once again, but she hasn’t. Nobody knows who the real “Phillies Karen” is, and she hasn’t spoken out.

There is no Karen Cairny and the whole story about her working as a parking enforcement officer appears to have been made up. She hasn’t been fired, and isn’t fleeing the United States either.

The baseball video has sparked a series of false posts, and it’s become one big viral meme on social media. Right, let’s stop now – it’s gone too far.
