David Colmenares, Superior Auditor of the Federation (ASF) explained in the second installment of the Public Account 2024 that there are 5 thousand 161.3 million pesos to clarify in the federal government and federal entities.
ASF explains that there is still much to clarify
Of which 89 percent are concentrated in the federal entities and 11 percent correspond to federal government entities. The Judiciary has 49 percent of the amounts to be clarified of the total observed.

For its part, the subnational system of government, specifically the federal entities, Alleged irregularities were detected for more than 4,600 million pesos of 35 percent that was determined in audits of health services provided by state governments with federal resources.
The remaining 65 percent corresponds to the results of auditing the financing of works in highly marginalized areas, the payment of educational payrolls, personal debt, financial sanitation, among others.
“The fact stands out that the governments of Mexico City, Querétaro, Quintana Roo, Sinaloa and Zacatecas did not have amounts to clarify, so you recognize, we make the effort and result obtained in this stage, congratulations. In the 2024 Public Account, resources grew by more than 9 million million pesos executed by more than 6,000 public entities,” said the auditor.
The largest number of executors of federal resources It is concentrated in the subnational system of government, that is, the states, mayors, municipalities and local autonomous bodies.
In this second installment, the results of 369 audits are presented, which correspond to programmable federalized spending resources, as well as those exercised by higher secondary education institutions, that were identified as “other federalized spending.” It also includes audits of the Modernization of Public Property Registry and Cadastre program.
