AUGUSTA, Ga. (WJBF) – Early Wednesday morning, Richmond County Sheriff’s Office responded to Doctors Hospital after receiving a call that a woman was brought in for treatment and considered in critical condition.
The Criminal Investigation Division began investigating this case and learned that the female victim was involved in an aggravated assault incident on the 3300 block of Young Forest Dr at approximately 1:00 a.m.
An Investigation showed that the victim was struck in the head causing blunt force trauma.
Investigators were able to identify and arrest a suspect, 42-year-oldTerry Coleman, on the charge of Aggravated Assault.
The criminal investigation is still on-going and no further information will be released at this time.
