Boy, 13, arrested after pregnant woman seriously hurt in e-bike hit-and-run in Poole

A 13-year-old has been arrested over an e-bike crash involving a pregnant woman whose baby was born afterwards in hospital and remains in a serious condition. It happened around 3.50pm on 26 January in Herbert Avenue, Poole, and the rider reportedly failed to stop at the scene. The female pedestrian, in her 30s, attended hospital for treatment.

A 13-year-old boy has been arrested after a pregnant woman was hit by an e-bike.

The baby, which was born shortly after, remains in a critical condition after the mum was injured in the crash last Monday on Herbet Avenue, in Poole, Dorset.

Dorset Police said it was reported the e-bike rider failed to stop at the scene.

A 13-year-old boy has since been arrested and remains in police custody.

Police Sergeant Dan Yates, of the Roads Policing Team, said: ‘Our investigation is continuing and we have now made an arrest as part of our enquiries.
