With just over two weeks to go until Christmas it’s no surprise to see celebrities joining in the festive fun. Sticking up the decorations, wrapping gifts — all the things that prove when it comes to Christmas they’re basically just like us. Well, apart from the fact they do it in multi-million dollar mansions, of course. One big name who’s been showing off their Christmas preparations is Jennifer Lopez, and in doing so she offered us a glimpse inside her palatial Bel Air home. (Picture: @jlo/Instagram)
The 55-year-old star, who recently graced the screen in Kiss Of The Spider Woman, gave fans the unexpected peek into the property’s living-room, while promoting products for her J-Lo beauty line – which, if the video is anything to go by, make great stocking fillers. (Picture: @jlo/Instagram)
Jennifer, dressed in a cropped taupe sweatshirt, a black sports bra and high-waisted black leggings, is seen in the clip hanging a red knitted stocking on a mantelpiece decorated with pine cones, greenery and a huge gold bow. But that’s not all fans got to see. A look around the room reveals a huge gold chandelier above a large round table surrounded with vintage green-upholstered chairs. However, this is just a tiny look at the property. The 46,000 square foot mansion boasts 12 bedrooms,24 bathrooms, a 5,000 square foot guest penthouse, a zero-edge infinity pool, a 12 car garage and parking for 80 cars. And that’s before you’ve even stopped to consider the house’s ‘one-of-a-kind indoor sports complex’ which offers a gym, boxing ring and the chance to play basketball and pickleball – as well as a sports lounge with a bar. J-Lo previously shared the property with her ex-husband, actor Ben Affleck, and has been trying to sell it for the past year. The house went on the market in July 2024 for $68m (£51m), just weeks before the actress filed for divorce from Affleck after two years of marriage. (Picture: @jlo/Instagram)
However the pair struggled to find a buyer for the property, with the Daily Mail reporting that high upkeep as well as the spiralling cost of insurance – in the wake of the devastating California fires at the start of 2025 – ultimately deterred buyers. Hello! has said that the price was subsequently knocked down to $59m (£45m) in May this year before being removed from the market in July – but the house has since been relisted at the bargain price of $52m (£39m). All of which comes in the wake of the news that J-Lo has permanently removed her tattoo in tribute to her ex-husband. The ink, which featured an infinity sign, an arrow, and both JLo and Ben’s names, was once worn in pride of place on her ribcage. The couple have a long history together. Originally getting together in the early 2000s after meeting on the film Gigli, they got engaged in 2002, split in 2004 and reconnected in 2021 – ultimately hosting not one but two weddings (one in Las Vegas, one at Ben’s estate in Georgia) when they finally tied the knot.
