Girl, 3, killed on cam in ‘human sacrifice by her mum’ as she was ‘dressed in white & spoke in ritual to expel spirits’

THE MOTHER of a three-year-old girl has been on suspicion of killing her child in a shocking “ritual murder”.

The girl’s horrifying death in Ukraine has been met with appalled reactions from residents.

Graphic designer and artist Yuliia Doloshytska, 32, had picked up her child from nursery ahead of the tragic incident.

The girl Alyna Petryv was made to wear “a white dress, a wreath, [and] forced to read various words from rituals….to drive out evil spirits,” according to reports.

Her mother is alleged to have filmed this “sacrifice”, according to neighbours in Kalush in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

Residents reportedly heard screams during the night and called the police.

Officers managed to get access to the property in the morning, where they found the girl had been “drowned in the bath”.

The child had also been “stabbed” according to some accounts.

The cops had got the key from the landlord instead of breaking down the door, reports say.

The mother was present at the scene when the police arrived, according to officers.

“She did not provide any explanation,” said a police statement.

“In the course of the initial check, law enforcement officers recovered elaborate evidence that indicates the 32-year-old woman’s involvement in premeditated murder.”

The mother is a divorcee who had lived in the Czech Republic with the child for part of the war.

She is reported to have returned to Ukraine just six weeks ago.

The woman was not registered with psychiatric doctors, according to the police.

“She lived alone in a rented apartment with the child,” the statement adds.

A murder investigation has now been opened by cops.

The woman, who has been detained, was informed she is suspected of killing Alyna.

The child’s Ukrainian father reportedly still lives in the Czech Republic.

Her church funeral was attended by shocked neighbours and family members.

Local publication Kalush Informator reported: “People shaken by this tragedy, brought children’s toys in addition to wreaths and flowers.”

One eulogy said: “What a beautiful girl, what a HORROR! How is this possible?”

Dana White’s mammoth Jon Jones offer ‘leaked’ as insider claims Aspinall U-turn will cost icon ‘biggest UFC cheque ever’

An image collage containing 2 images, Image 1 shows Jon Jones and another man at a UFC press conference, Image 2 shows Tom Aspinall of England preparing for a UFC heavyweight championship fight

AN INSIDER has claimed to have revealed the UFC’s whopping offer to Jon Jones for a fight with Tom Aspinall.

MMA‘s top promotion have been working on a mammoth melee between the pair since last November but have yet to finalise it.

Former title challenger Chael Sonnen has claimed ex-rival Jones is leaving the ‘biggest cheque’ in UFC history on the table[/caption]

That’s despite White and Co. meeting Jones’ demands to be paid “F**K YOU MONEY” for the historic heavyweight title unficiation fight.

Long-time UFC commentator Joe Rogan sensationally claimed Jones demanded £22million ($30m) to unify the belts, although that claim was quickly shot down by White.

And three-time UFC title challenger Chael Sonnen has now claimed the former pound-for-pound king will take home a guaranteed purse of £8.9m ($12m) if he shares the octagon with Aspinall.

He said in a video on his YouTube channel: “I don’t believe Jon Jones has turned down this fight.

“Whatever that number was, and I believe to be $12 million, in case you’re interested. Got my own sources.

“The UFC said, ‘Okay’. Jon’s cheque at the end of the night will be the biggest cheque he’s ever got.

“It will be the biggest cheque anyone has ever got from the UFC.

“It will beat out [Brock] Lesnar, it will beat out Georges [St-Pierre].

“Ronda Rousey’s weren’t as big as they embellished, it will crush hers.”

Jones, 37, has left MMA fans on tenterhooks over the last few weeks by flirting with the prospect of retirement, which would see him walk away from the biggest purse of his career.

And according to White, Jones’ umming and ahhing over retirement has come after he “AGREED” to take on Brit bruiser Aspinall.

He said in the UFC 316 post-fight press conference: “Jon Jones agreed to do the fight.

Jon Jones was offered the deal and accepted the deal. Jon agreed to fight Tom, yes.

“You guys have heard me for the last however long, ‘I guarantee this fight is going to happen. This fight’s going to happen.’

“You guys told me the crazy s**t that’s going on Instagram, and all these other places.

“But yes, I’ve been saying Jon is going to fight Tom.”

“It will be the biggest cheque anyone has ever got from the UFC.”

White’s once unwavering confidence in booking the fight, which SunSport understands was being targeted for UFC 322 in November, is starting to fade.

He admitted: “Listen, you can’t make people fight, if Jon doesn’t want to fight, you can’t make him fight.

“We can try to make him fight, we can throw things at him that inspire him to want to fight.

“But we’ll figure it out.”

Former long-reigning light-heavyweight king Jones hasn’t fought since his Madison Square Garden mauling of Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 last November.

Wigan warrior Aspinall, meanwhile, has been on the sidelines since his 60-second demolition job of Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 last July.

My dad was a jockey with over 1000 winners and my grandad played in EFL – I’m making my own way in golf at US Open

TYLER WEAVER will complete a remarkable family hat-trick when he tees off in the US Open.

The English amateur golfer is the son of former flat jockey Jason Weaver, who rode more than 1,000 winners before carving out a new career as a popular TV commentator.

And grandad Eric was a professional footballer with Swindon Town, so sporting genes definitely run deep in the Weaver family.

Weaver Junior – who was runner-up in the English Amateur championship and is now studying at Florida State University – booked his place via a play-off at a qualifier in Atlanta.

Major winners Zach Johnson, Jason Dufner and K.J.Choi were among the players who failed to advance.

Fortunately for Jason, the US Open falls neatly between the Derby and the Royal Ascot.

So Weaver, 20, will have both his parents cheering him on, with older brother Max – another elite amateur golfer – caddying for him.

He warmed up for his debut on the sport‘s biggest stage by playing a practice round with five-time major winner Brooks Koepka, who also studied at Florida State.

Weaver commented: “Just getting through qualifying was up there as one of my biggest achievements, because I’ve always dreamed of playing in a major championship.

“It all feels exciting and a bit surreal. But now that I’m here I want to go out and compete and do as good as I can.”

Dad Jason says he will be more nervous than he was before a big race, but is confident Tyler will do himself justice.

He said: “I am super proud because I know the hard work Tyler has  put in to get to this stage. It is a great achievement.

“It will be even more special with his older brother Max caddying.

And with the US Open falling between two of the biggest dates in the racing calendar, Tyler has timed his qualification to perfection as far as I am concerned.”

Legendary F1 race to be renamed after 113 years as Grand Prix is handed controversial new title

A FORMULA ONE race has been given a name change following the introduction of a new event.

Until now, the annual race at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya in Montmelo, Barcelona has been called the Spanish Grand Prix.

A new race in Madrid, set to debut next year, will instead be called the Spanish GP[/caption]

However, with a new race in Madrid entering the calendar from next year, it will officially be named the Barcelona-Catalunya Grand Prix going forward.

The Spanish GP will now represent the event in Madrid, which will debut in September 2026.

Meanwhile, the Barcelona-Catalunya GP is scheduled for June.

Fans have differing views of the name selection for the change, with one person taking to social media to write: “Hey, everyone’s happy, right? Catalan GP at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya (and with the Catalan flag).”

While another said: “Could Formula 1 be given a hint to remove the local region it’s located in after Barcelona?

“I just noticed it’s the only city on the circuit that has one, and I don’t see the need. It’s to treat them like everyone else and so they don’t feel discriminated against…”

Prior to the announcement of the official name, Spanish journalist Juanma Castano explained: “Barcelona has more names in the world than Catalonia.

“It’s a much larger land, but if you go to Australia and say Catalonia, they probably don’t know where it is.

“If you say Barcelona, they usually do know where it is.”

In order to make room for the new Madrid race, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix at Imola in Italy has been removed.

The new Spanish GP will be located near the IFEMA Madrid exhibition centre in the Barajas district.

As well as the new race, a new team will be introduced to the grid.

Cadillac will become the 11th team, with Sauber rebranding to Audi.

F1 2025

THE new Formula One season is well underway – and one team appear to be running away with it.

A massive summer of change saw Lewis Hamilton move on from Mercedes and join Ferrari, while the McLaren pair of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri have a big chance to end Max Verstappen‘s recent dominance.

The Red Bull ace is aiming for a record-equalling FIFTH consecutive world title.

Man City star reveals Pep Guardiola’s reaction after choosing to play for England in Under-21 Euros over Club World Cup

JAMES MCATEE says Pep Guardiola told him to “go have fun” after snubbing the Club World Cup for the Under-21 European Championship.

The Manchester City midfielder, 22, will lead out England in their Euro opener against Czechia tomorrow after opting for country over club.

McAtee says the decision on whether to jet to America with City or head to Slovakia for international duty was entirely down to him.

And the star, who has been named captain by Young Lions head coach Lee Carsley, has revealed how his club boss Guardiola reacted to the news.

McAtee said: “I don’t know if he knew I was going to be captain at all, but yeah, he was just saying ‘go and enjoy yourself and go and have fun and try and win the tournament’.

“We just had a discussion and it was as easy as that. A quick discussion and then I was on my way here.

“I didn’t know if it was going to happen, but I’m happy to be here, happy to be with the lads and looking forward to the tournament.”

McAtee, who has been linked with moves to Man Utd, Lyon, Everton and Leeds, continued: “It was a chance for me to go and play.

“I’ve been happy with my minutes that I’ve got this year, but I think here I can play more of a part than I would have at the Club World Cup.

“It’s more of an experience and this is my first international tournament, so it’ll be good to get out there.”

McAtee, who says his favoured position is No10, failed to keep the news quiet that he would be wearing the armband at the Euros

He said: “Lee pulled me to the side, I think it was last week during training, and told me.

England's Under-21 Euros squad in FULL

ENGLAND are looking to retain their status as Under-21 European champions this summer in Slovakia.

Here is Lee Carsley’s full squad for the blockbuster tournament:

Goalkeepers: James Beadle (Brighton and Hove Albion), Teddy Sharman-Lowe (Chelsea), Tommy Simkin (Stoke City)

Defenders: Charlie Cresswell (FC Toulouse), Ronnie Edwards (Southampton), CJ Egan-Riley (Burnley), Tino Livramento (Newcastle United), Brooke Norton Cuffy (Genoa), Jarell Quansah (Liverpool)

Midfielders: Elliot Anderson (Nottingham Forest), Archie Gray (Tottenham Hotspur), Hayden Hackney (Middlesbrough), Jack Hinshelwood (Brighton and Hove Albion), Tyler Morton (Liverpool), Alex Scott (AFC Bournemouth)

Forwards: Harvey Elliott (Liverpool), Omari Hutchinson (Ipswich Town), Sam Iling Jnr (Aston Villa), James McAtee (Manchester City), Ethan Nwaneri (Arsenal), Jonathan Rowe (Marseille), Jay Stansfield (Birmingham City)

“I was obviously over the moon, he told me to keep it quiet for a bit, but I told my mum and dad straight away.  It’s a great honour and I can’t thank Lee enough for it.

“I’d definitely remember it forever if we go and win it.

“There’s obviously special players here, look at our team. We’ve got a great squad. We’re all looking forward to it and we believe we can win it.”

Carsley’s England, with Cole Palmer in the squad, were crowned European champions two years ago.

And McAtee admits his best pal’s rise to stardom since with Chelsea and England is motivating him to use this tournament as a springboard.

He added: “Cole’s obviously been my team-mate since I’ve been 11 [at City], so I wouldn’t say inspiration, but obviously what he’s done with Chelsea is amazing.

“This might have kick-started him. Hopefully it’ll be the same for me as well.”

England kick-off their Euro campaign against Czechia and then three days later will face Slovenia before their final group-stage match against Germany on Wednesday 18 June.

All of the Young Lions’ matches will be broadcast on Channel 4.
