Love Island fans name show’s real villain branding them ‘rotten to the core’

LOVE Island fans have named this year’s villain after insisting she is “rotten to the core”.

A villa feud began to emerge as Shakira was left singled out by the girls during her attempts to steal one of their boys and remain in the villa.

Viewers have called Meg ‘rotten to her core’

It saw Shakira and bombshell Toni sidelined as the five other girls cast judgement on their antics.

However, viewers at home have picked out who they believe is the instigator and blasted her for taking aim at Shakira.

Megan Moore was blasted by fans as the divide began to take hold of the villa.

Writing on X – formerly Twitter – one wrote: “That Meg needs to go…Rotten to the core.”

Someone else agreed, writing: “Someone get Meg out of there.”

A third then penned: “I need Meg to go home she’s horrible.”

The comments continued to flood in as another viewer said of Meg: “Blonde Meg thinks she’s that girl don’t she.”

Before a fifth posted: “Meg p***ing me off the most and I thought I was gonna like her but she’s just p***ing me off.”

England player ratings: Walker’s future in jeopardy after horror show as Eze and Madueke show flashes of real quality

ENGLAND suffered their first defeat under Thomas Tuchel and their first to an African nation.

Despite taking an early lead through Harry Kane, Senegal fought back with goals either side of half-time in their friendly at the City Ground.

Thomas Tuchel remonstrated with the officials after a controversial VAR call[/caption] Illustration of match statistics for England vs. Senegal.

Crystal Palace star Ismaila Sarr equalised just before the break.

Then Habib Diarra beat Dean Henderson from a tight angle.

Jude Bellingham thought he had grabbed a late equaliser.

However, the close-range finish was ruled out by VAR for a handball in the build-up from Levi Colwill.

Then at the other end, a super Senegal counter-attack was rounded off by Cheikh Sabaly deep into injury time.

And so, following the drab 1-0 win over Andorra, it was more disappointment for England to wrap up the season with a year and a day to go until the World Cup.

Here’s how SunSport’s Tom Barclay rated the Three Lions players…

Dean Henderson: 6

Making just his third cap for England, the Crystal Palace stopper made a number of good stops in the first half.

CASINO SPECIAL – BEST CASINO BONUSES FROM £10 DEPOSITS

The pick of the bunch was against club-mate Ismaila Sarr’s header, but there was nothing Henderson could do about the jet-heeled winger’s finish shortly before the break.

May feel he could have done better for the second goal as he was beaten from an acute angle.

Kyle Walker: 3

This was Walker’s 96th cap – but his poor performance means a 97th is by no means guaranteed.

A good cross for Anthony Gordon aside, Walker was rusty with his touch and looked uncharacteristically slow.

The way Sarr raced past him for the leveller made you wonder if time is finally catching up on the 35-year-old stalwart.

Trevoh Chalobah: 6

An okay showing on his England bow, coming up against his Chelsea colleague Nicolas Jackson.

Though Chalobah was caught out for the leveller, with Jackson managing to get in behind him and hook it back for Sarr to net.

Chalobah’s appearance meant for just the third time since the start of the 20th century England had two brothers representing them, following on from sibling Nathaniel’s solitary cap in 2018.

Levi Colwill: 4

Not a great night for the Chelsea man on his fifth cap.

Had a slack pass charged down by Jackson early in the second half which served as a warning.

Then got nowhere near Habib Diarra as the midfielder raced onto a long ball from Blues old boy Kalidou Koulibaly and then slotted it past Henderson.

His handball also saw Jude Bellingham’s late equaliser ruled out after a VAR intervention.

Myles Lewis-Skelly: 5

Was nowhere to be seen when Koulibaly’s ball went into England’s left-back area for the second goal.

Did not do much else wrong but also did not catch the eye either with not a lot of stepping into midfield.

Then again, the guy is only 18 and it is more a mark of the brilliant impact he has made so far that this performance left you feeling underwhelmed.

Third cap.

Conor Gallagher: 5

Mixed game for the Atletico Madrid man who was one of four of England’s starting line-up heading off to the Club World Cup.

He was burnt for pace by Iliman Ndiaye early on, chose not to pass to Gordon when the Newcastle man was in the clear and was lucky not to be booked for a lunge on Sarr.

But he did tee up Gordon for the shot that led to Kane’s opener.

Declan Rice: 5

Some lax passing that perhaps was not unexpected in the final game of a long, frustrating season.

But let’s be honest, whatever Rice had done here, we know he will still be an automatic starter in central midfield come next summer.

The question remains, who will join him?

Bukayo Saka: 5

His first appearance under Thomas Tuchel, having been injured for the German’s first two games and left out for fitness reasons of the third against Andorra on Saturday.

It certainly was not his most memorable performance, though he was only just back from a strain.

Looked like he was about to level for 2-2 but was denied by a fabulous stop from Edouard Mendy.

Eberechi Eze: 7 (STAR MAN)

In a team performance bereft of real quality, Eze provided a few flashes of class.

He was the one who won the ball in the build-up to Kane’s opener.

While the Crystal Palace star also plucked the ball out of the air brilliantly on two occasions – and had a gorgeous backheel to tee up Morgan Gibbs-White.

Anthony Gordon: 5

Gordon’s international career has been a perplexing one, looking like it could explode at times but ultimately failing to launch so far.

This was his 12th cap and there were hints of what he can bring with his rapid pace and enthusiastic pressing.

But he was not clinical enough in front of goal, missing a sitter midway through the first half, once again leaving fans wondering if he has the genuine quality to shine at this level.

Harry Kane: 7

Kane plays, Kane scores. It has been rinse and repeat for a decade.

Here it happened again as he tapped in a rebound for his 73rd in 107 caps, an appearance feat which drew him level with Ashley Cole.

Did not do a right lot else, mind, although still looked our best passer, which is an issue for Tuchel and his midfield.

SUBS

Morgan Gibbs-White (for Gordon, 58): 6

Biggest cheer of the day was when the Nottingham Forest star was introduced in front of the City Ground. Had a blast well saved.

Curtis Jones (for Gallagher, 58): 5

Fired a shot well over soon after coming on, and lost the ball in the build-up to Senegal’s third.

Morgan Rogers (for Kane, 58): 6

Played up front when coming on while Ivan Toney was left on the bench. Full of running but the team struggled to pick him out.

Noni Madueke (for Saka, 70): 7

It was his corner that led to England’s equaliser – until ref Stephanie Frappart ruled it out after looking at her touchline monitor.

Jude Bellingham (for Rice, 70): 7

Thought he had levelled after a clever touch and finish but the goal was chalked off for Colwill’s handball.

Ivan Toney (for Lewis-Skelly, 87): 6

First England appearance since going to Saudi Arabia but he was on so late, he barely had time to make an impact – even if he has a famous history of doing exactly that.

MANAGER

Thomas Tuchel: 3

HIS first defeat in his fourth game and it was well-deserved.

Senegal were much the better team as his side lacked creativity and looked vulnerable at the back.

Question marks over his decision to play veterans like Walker – and Jordan Henderson in previous games – remain.

While you wondered what the point of selecting Ivan Toney was if he was barely going to play once Kane went off.

None of Tuchel’s quartet of matches have been that impressive so far – but this was downright dire.

Deadly African scorpion is found by horrified Brit woman after it ‘crawled past her feet’ while she watched TV

A WOMAN has been left terrified after returning home from holiday and discovering a “deadly” scorpion in her home.

It is believed the scorpion hitched a ride back in her luggage when she returned from a holiday in Africa.

The deadly scorpion was discovered in a Swindon home earlier this month.

It was reportedly spotted by the homeowner as she sat watching TV with the scorpion crawling across her carpet right under her nose.

The terrified homeowner bravely trapped it under a wine glass before transferring it into a jar where it was safely kept until help arrived.

The RSPCA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) was called and recommended the woman speak to a specialist.

Jonathan Cleverly who provides educational workshops for schools featuring insects, reptiles and invertebrates was eventually scrambled to deal with the African scorpion.

Jonathan took the creature away after identifying it as a member of the Buthidae family which several of the most deadly scorpion species in the world are also a part of.

After getting the deadly creature home Jonathan made sure to keep it locked up safely before finding it a new home.

Jonathan owns several scorpions himself and was well prepared with the proper equipment to transport the deadly animal.

He dismissed the idea that the animal was an escaped pet, believing it snuck into the UK in the woman’s luggage.

The dangerous creatures are commonly found in Africa from where the homeowner had recently returned.

The scorpion has since been taken to live with an expert who has a DWA (Dangerous Wild Animals) licence.

It was estimated to be around 4cm long with Jonathan calling it the “most dangerous animal” he ever had.

Speaking to the BBC Jonathan said: “She’d [the homeowner] done a brilliant job of moving it from a wine glass into a jam jar with a secure lid so it couldn’t move and escape.

“She put in some lettuce for a bit of moisture. She looked after it brilliantly well.

“The scorpion, I would like to say, is absolutely gorgeous – even if it is potentially harmful to humans, it’s a very rare thing for these sorts of scorpion to make their way into the UK.”

The six legged creature boasts a pair of fearsome looking claws and a large, venomous stinger on its tail.

Coming in at just 4cm the scorpion is small but deadly with the species occasionally causing human fatalities.

When fully grown the scorpion can reach a terrifying 12cm, more than twice the size of the one found in Swindon.

What are the most poisonous animals in the world?

Here are seven of the most deadly creatures...

  • The box jellyfish is widely regarded to be the most posionous animal in the world and contians a toxin that can cause heart attacks
  • Cobras, typically found in the jungles of India and China, can spit a venom which can result in death in a very short space of time and just 7ml of their venom is enough to kill 20 humans
  • The marbled cone snail is a sea creature that can release venom so toxic it can result in vision loss, respiratory failure, muscle paralysis and eventually death and, to make things worse, there is no anti-venom available
  • Posion dart frogs are small and brightly coloured but have glands containing a toxin that blocks nerve signals to muscles, causing paralysis and death
  • Puffer fish are considered to be a dangerous delicacy because some of their anatomy contains a hazardous toxin which, if ingested in a large quantity, can cause convulsions, paralysis, cardiac arrhythmia, and ultimately death
  • The Brazillian wandering spider, also known as the ‘banana spider’, has venom that is so high in serotonin it can paralyse and kill
  • Death stalker scorpions have a fitting name as enough venom from one can cause a lot of pain and respiratory failure

New Love Island bombshell reveals he’s a dad as he sets his sights on breaking up villa couples

ONE of the Love Island bombshells entering the villa tonight has revealed he is a dad.

Hunky Shea – a scaffolder and footballer from Bristol – has a son from a previous relationship and any potential partners will have to impress both of them.

Describing who he would like to couple up with, the Bristol lad said:  “She needs to be bubbly and we need to have that initial spark. She needs to have a nice personality – like I think I have – so that we match together.”

He added: “Also, I have a little boy, so I’ll be taking him into consideration with who I couple up with, too.”

Fans caught the first glimpse of Shea this evening as he arrived alongside fitness influencer Remell Mullins.

A source told The Sun: “The two new boys are already in the villa and immedietely started turning heads.

“The OG lads thought they were safe but three bombshells in three days shows that producers aren’t messing around.”

Their arrival follows the first axing of the series – after a genius twist introduced by Maya Jama on launch night.

She announced the show’s first ever American bombshell and immediately gave her the power to steal a boy.

Las Vegas VIP waitress Toni swiped Ben – leaving Burnley lass Shakira single.

Shakira then had 24 hours to make a new connection or be dumped from the island.

And in a surprise move, she opted for Harry – meaning Sophie Lee was dumped.

Roy Keane slams ‘LAZY’ Kyle Walker for role in Senegal goal vs England as ITV star says ‘can’t make mistakes like that’

KYLE WALKER was slammed as “lazy” by Roy Keane for his role in Senegal’s equaliser against England.

The defender was caught on his heels as Ismaila Sarr reacted quickest to poke in Nicolas Jackson’s cross.

Walker was beaten to the ball after reacting slowly, leaving pundit Keane unimpressed.

The Manchester United legend tore into the right-back during half-time of ITV‘s coverage of the match.

He said: “If this is a young right-back starting out in the game you’re thinking inexperience.

“I think he has been lazy. He is a vastly experienced defender and he doesn’t bother getting back in. You tell defenders get back in!

“He’s just on his heels and he almost can’t be bothered getting back.

“I know he’s had a difficult few months but for a vastly experienced player you can’t be making mistakes like that.

Ian Wright supported his colleague’s view, adding: “If Kyle gets in there, he probably clears that.”

It was the first goal England conceded under Thomas Tuchel, who faced his first real test in Senegal at the City Ground.

The Three Lions opened the lead through Harry Kane before Sarr’s equaliser.

Their defending did not improve after the break however with a long ball over the top exposing Myles Lewis-Skelly and Levi Colwill.

Habib Diarra strolled in down the right flank and was not closed down quickly enough, allowing him to stride into the box to score at the near post.

Things went from bad to worse for England as a Jude Bellingham goal was ruled out before Cheikh Sabaly added a third.

EastEnders bombshell as Queen Vic’s loudmouth new landlady revealed as owners Linda & Elaine put iconic pub up for sale

It marks a glorious return behind the Walford watering hole for Kat — previously Kat Slater, and licensee with husband Alfie Moon from 2010 to 2013.

This time, for as yet unknown reasons, it will be just her name above the door.

A source said: “This will be Kat’s third time working in the Queen Vic, but this will be her first time at the helm.

“It’s a full-circle moment for the character, as when she first moved on to Albert Square in 2000, Kat gained employment as a barmaid at the pub. Then, ten years on, she helped Alfie.

“But now she’s going to be the sole licensee of the boozer and it will kick-start a whole new chapter for the pub.

“Kat follows in the high heels of the Square’s most formidable women — Angie Watts, her daughter Sharon and Peggy Mitchell — and puts her at the centre of the action.”

The move also places actress Jessie Wallace at the heart of the soap and establishes her among the BBC’s most valued talent.

Over the past five years, bosses have relied on Jessie, 53, as part of the soap’s biggest storylines, including Alfie’s prostate cancer battle and a failed marriage to Phil Mitchell

And its another show of support after Jessie got a conditional caution from cops for assaulting a police officer outside a nightclub in 2022

Kat’s new job comes after she this week ties the knot with Alfie (Shane Richie) for the third time — more than two decades after first saying “I do”.

They are one of the soap’s most popular couples.

The sale of the boozer comes after it blew up in February, claiming the lives of Martin Fowler (James Bye) and killer accountant Reiss Colwell (Jonny Freeman).

Love Island sees quickest Hideaway sleepover EVER after just 56 hours as islanders NOT coupled up spend night together

LOVE Island’s summer series is off to a bang as a couple headed to the raunchy Hideaway bedroom just 56 hours in.

Blonde air hostess Helena Ford, 29, and semi-pro footballer Harry Cooksley, 30, spent the night together in the hidden suite on Monday, The Sun can reveal.

The luxury space is totally separate from the main villa and offers the Islanders complete privacy.

Filming began for the series on Saturday lunchtime, meaning it was some two and half days before the pair headed for some alone time.

A source said: “This is the fastest sleepover in the Hideaway in Love Island’s twelve series history – and what a gorgeous pair to do so.

“In the past, producers had to invite Islanders to use the breakout bedroom which meant the love nest was generally not used until couples became more established.

“But producers have changed the rules of the breakout bedroom so it can be used at any time, without an invite.

“It means Helena and Harry could take advantage of the ‘no invite needed’ and explore their connection.

“The scenes will play out later this week, but bosses are unlikely to show anything too naughty, as is the show’s usual approach.”

Helena, who is pals with Piers Morgan’s son Spencer and Gary Lineker’s son George on the outside, had fans in stitches on Monday night’s launch when she described her type as a “four out of ten that is funny.”

Harry, who is a commodities trader, has been described as The Surrey Zidane by fans of his team, Farnham Town.

He’s scored with Helena after his original coupling, Sophie Lee, last night left the villa as part of a show twist.

Love Island bosses overhauled their approach to raunchy scenes after facing a backlash in 2016.

Regulators rained down on ITV when cameras showed Emma Woodham and Terry Walsh romping in the shared bedroom above the covers.

Speaking this year at the villa, executive producer Mike Spencer-Hayter told the Sun: “I think if that happens, we have a really nice touch of how we do it, with humour.”

When Joey Essex and Jessy Potts romped in the final week of last year’s series, footage showed a champagne bucket rocking and their feet intertwined.

Love Island’s return on Monday drew an audience of 1.4m across all devices – up on the launch of All Stars earlier this year.

It’s ITV2 biggest overnight audience of the year and was the most-watched show for 16-34s across all channels.

Across the launch and the show’s watchalong special with Amy Hart and Indiyah Polack, Love Island 2025 brought in 1.7 million streams on ITVX.

To date, Love Island has been streamed 2 billion times on ITVX.

Love Island continues tonight at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.

Red Arrows crisis as iconic display team running out of jets & RAF forced to raid old planes for parts

THE Red Arrows are running out of aircraft, The Sun can reveal.

The legendary RAF team has 13 working jets and may be down to six by 2028, which would end their trademark “diamond nine” display.

Their fleet of ageing jets could see their much-loved shows being cancelled, sources claimed last night.

Their creaking fleet entered service in 1974 — and the factory that made spare parts closed five years ago.

Engineers have since been forced to cannibalise old planes to keep the best ones flying.

A source told The Sun: “There are no two ways about it — the Red Arrows are running out of planes.”

The number of working aircraft has dropped from 26 in January to just 17 today.

Four are in so-called deep maintenance, so just 13 are available to fly.

The massive G-forces in Red Arrows air shows, compared to other “sedate” fly-pasts, rapidly reduces jet lifespan.

The source added: “Planes can only fly so many shows before they need new parts.

“So either they get new planes or they have to cancel shows.”

British solution

RAF chief Sir Richard Knighton has indicated he wants a replacement for the Hawk “as soon as possible”.

The Sun revealed in April that Russian jets were being considered for the Red Arrows, which have only ever flown British planes since they were formed 61 years ago.

But sources close to Defence Secretary John Healey insist he wants a British solution.

The only UK contender is a concept plane called the Aeralis Advanced Jet Trainer.

What message does it send if the RAF can’t even field nine trainer aircraft because our politicians can’t make a decision on what to buy?

RAF source

An RAF source said: “The whole point of the Red Arrows is to be RAF ambassadors and to showcase British industry.

“What message does it send if the RAF can’t even field nine trainer aircraft, or can’t perform a full season of shows because our politicians can’t make a decision on what to buy?”

The Hawk T1s are due to retire in 2030 while the Hawk T2s — which train RAF pilots — will go out of service in 2040.

Ex-RAF Air Marshal Edward Stringer said pilot numbers have also been cut and warned the plane shortage is “a symptom of a much bigger problem”.

An RAF spokesperson said last night: “The Red Arrows will continue to use the Hawk to perform its much-loved displays each year.

“We continue to work closely with industry partners to ensure the fleet is maintained.”

From Sin City to the island of Espa¿a: first ever American bombshell Toni Laites arrives and she has a big decision with even bigger consequences.
Sophie was coupled up with Harry

After grappling with her decision for some time Shakira picks Harry Cooksley – meaning Sophie Lee is dumped from the island immediately.

Last night Shakira was tasked with grafting all the lads after bombshell Toni, 24, stole her man Ben, 23.

In a surprise move, Maya Jama returned this evening and told the boys they could step forward if they were interest in recoupling with Shakira.

Blu, Conor and Harry stood up – leaving their partners horrified.

Shakira is seen struggling with her decision and asked Maya if the girl she picked would definitely be dumped, before she sent Sophie packing.

Those watching at home couldn’t believe Sophie was the first go as she had been early favourite.

One person commented: “I can’t believe we’re losing Sophie already.”

While a second said: “Sophie dumped way too soon that woman is gorgeous.”

And a third added: “Heartbroken to see Sophie go wanted to see more of her. Harry. U better not be weird now.”

Love Island fans slam Meg as she makes huge u-turn in bid to stay in villa

LOVE Island fans have slammed Meg after she made a huge u-turn in bid to stay in the villa.

It comes just a day after Meg, 25, seemed “underwhelmed” when she chose Dejon in last night’s launch.

Last night, Meg chose Dejon, but when they met for the first time, fans were convinced there was no attraction on either side.

In fact, she then went onto tell the rest of the girls later in the episode that she wasn’t really “feeling him”.

But as tonight’s recoupling loomed, Meg seemed to change her tune.

In fact when she saw US bombshell Toni chatting to Djon, she was heard saying to her fellow Islanders: “I don’t have my man, Dejon’s gone – that’s it!”

This didn’t go unnoticed by fans, who took to social media to vent about her “game plan”

One said: “Meg doesn’t like Dejon but she’s got to secure her place in the Villa, baddd!”

While another chimed in: “All Meg is worried about is going home, she don’t care about Dejon.”

This one added: “Meg defo has a game plan!

“She’s being all sweet to Dejon to stay on the show.”

Later Dejon and Meg were up on the terrace and Meg continued her fight not to get dumped, and upped her game.

So much so, Dejon was heard reassuring her: “You haven’t got anything to worry about, you’re my favourite, one thing about me is I’ll always be honest with my feelings.”

It comes hot on the heels of viewers venting that Meg had “no interest” in Dejon last night.

It came after she looked disappointed when she picked him in the recoupling.

Again venting on social media, fans shared their thoughts.

“meg’s face changeddd when dejon walked out,” said another.

A third person added: “Meg is not into Dejon in the SLIGHTEST.”

“Yeah Meg doesn’t like Dejon, he is definitely not her type but she cannot outrightly say it,” said a fourth.
