Coronation Street star making a comeback to the show 15 years after being killed off – but WON’T be seen on screen
CORONATION Street star Reece Dinsdale is making an epic comeback to the cobbles – 15 years after he was killed off.
The actor played Gail Platt’s fourth husband Joe McIntyre before he met his demise after he tried to fake his death to claim insurance money.

But before ITV fans get excited, Reece won’t be reprising his role – instead he’s taken a job from behind the camera.
Reece has directed tonight’s and Friday’s episodes.
Taking to his X account, he wrote: “Tonight’s episodes of Coronation Street (and both of Friday’s) are directed by yours truly. Loved every second of making them. Hope you enjoy, too!“
Reece confirmed that the episodes were filmed around six to eight weeks ago.
In the comment section, Reece admitted he “loves” being a director on the show as fans shared their excitement ahead of the installments.
In April, Reece revealed he was making a return to the beloved soap.
He revealed he recently directed four episodes that month.
Reece is no stranger to directing Coronation Street and has made eight episodes since 2022.
He has also directed 42 episodes of Emmerdale since 2020, and helmed episodes of shows such as Pitching In, Moving On, and Secrets and Words.
The actor’s gig behind the camera comes after he was forced to defend his career prospects when he left Emmerdale.
In 2024, Reece announced he would be taking a break from directing the soap following the death of his mother.
He told fans: “Following the death of my Ma (& moving house), at 64 I’ve taken a decision to have some time out from work. Many months in fact. I’ve never done that consciously.
“I’ve stuff lined up down the line, so I know that’s easy for me to say. However, I’m loving every bloody second of it!”
Reece also played villain Paul Ashdale on Emmerdale in 2020 for a two-year stint, before he was killed off.

‘Radical’ new budget ‘supermini’ EV rivalling ‘beast’ Renault & ‘powerful’ Volkswagen is coming to UK in months
A “RADICAL” new budget “supermini” EV, set to rival Renault’s “beast” and Volkswagen’s “powerful” models, is arriving in the UK in just months.”
The Nio Firefly has been confirmed for the European market, with UK sales expected soon.

The Chinese EV offers an impressive 260-mile range and a single rear-mounted 141bhp motor.
The budget electric car is expected to cost around £12,500.
After launching in China, Nio sold 3,680 Firefly models last month, boosting the brand’s overall sales by a whopping 13.1 per cent.
Reports suggest that the Firefly will be available in UK showrooms imminently, according to Autocar.
Qin Lihong, Nio’s president, revealed that it would launch a right-hand-drive variant for the UK by October.
The Chinese car brand is rapidly expanding across Europe, aiming to enter 16 new global markets this year.
It comes after an ultra-ambitious car maker revealed a new budget EV that some claim could rival Tesla.
Little-known Chinese manufacturer Nio is to release a sub-brand called Firefly – which will offer entry-level electric vehicles.
Spy shots have revealed the brand testing a small city-style hatchback, which is tipped to be showcased to the world on December 21 for their so-called Nio Day in Guangzhou, China.
Known for their advanced technology and innovative features, Nio is a relatively new EV startup – established in 2014 and adopting its current name in 2016.
Their first mass-produced car was the ES8, an all-electric SUV, which began sales in June 2018.
Nio also has a family-oriented brand called Onvo, with Onvo L60 the only model currently available for sale under that name.
The new Firefly marque will sit at the bottom of their tier of brands and will focus on small and mid-size EVs.
Automotive outlet CarScoops first revealed the motor back in March, and new photos they obtained revealed it will look like a typical hatchback in size with a short front and rear overhang – resembling the five-door Mini Cooper and BYD Dolphin.
Photos of the Firefly’s interior have also been published by IT Home and CarNewsChina.
Judging by these, it appears it will feature a large central infotainment screen along with a digital instrument cluster – all despite its budget-orientated appeal.
Little else is known about the new hatchback, and it will initially be launched in China before it comes to Europe – although tariff hikes will likely make it pricier than originally planned.
The release of the Firefly could certainly give Tesla something to think about in the future.
‘That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen’ people cry as bloke proudly shows off Britney tattoo with VERY awkward error
A BLOKE has left people in stitches after proudly showing off his Britney Spears tattoo with a very awkward error.
The legendary pop artist Britney Spears, 43, has gained worldwide fame thanks to dozens of hits, such as Toxic, Circus, Baby One More Time, as well as some of her iconic phrases.

One such phrase that’s become a favourite for millions of her fans is ”It’s Britney, b**ch”, which kicks off her 2007 track, Gimme More.
And it seems that one man, only known as TikToker @tytanofficial, was so inspired by the tune he decided to dedicate a special inking to the pop princess.
However, the bloke went for a more creative approach – one that was recently shared on social media by fellow TikTok user @essexxink.
Instead of having ”It’s Britney, b***h”’ tattooed on his leg, the ink lover took the opportunity and went for ”It’s Brit(knee), b***c” .
The design starts at the top of his knee with ”It’s Brit”, with the knee serving as ”ney” part – while the rest of it is sitting under the kneecap.
”Look at his tattoo – It’s Brit… b***h,” the woman could be heard saying in the video.
The ink lover then proceeded to explain the logic behind the work, as he was all chuffed with himself and gave the camera a cheeky smile.
‘That’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen’
But while the man was clearly happy with the tattoo, the clip soon went viral for all the wrong reasons.
Eagle-eyed social media users soon spotted that something was slightly off with the black inking – as they thought he had tattooed it way above his knee.
”Who’s gonna tell him where the knee lives?” one person commented under the video which has racked up over 900k views in just one day.
”but that can’t be his knee it’s too high up,” another was left in hysterics.
”it’s not even on his knee,” someone else couldn’t stop laughing.
”that’s the saddest thing I’ve ever seen,” wrote another viewer.
Which tattoos hurt the most?
Depending on what part of your body you choose to ink, tattoos can range significantly in terms of pain levels.
Some of the most painful areas are those where the skin tends to be thinner or closer to the bone.
Each area has specific factors which contribute to the level of pain.
Ribcage: Thin skin, little muscle, and many nerve endings.
Feet and ankles: Many bones, tendons, and nerve endings close to the surface.
Hands and fingers: Many bones, tendons, and nerve endings, resulting in increased pain during tattooing. Knuckles can be especially painful.
Spine: Proximity of the spinal cord and nerve endings makes it sensitive. Tattooing directly over the vertebrae can be especially painful.
Knees and elbows: Thin skin and little padding between the skin and the underlying bones.
Armpits and groin: High concentration of nerve endings and lymph nodes.
Neck and throat: Thin and sensitive skin, with many nerve endings and blood vessels close to the surface.

But despite the huge amount of mean comments, there were also plenty of those who were fans of the inking – and some were even keen to get a similar design.
”OMG I AM JEALOUS WHY DIDN’T I THINK OF THAT,” wrote a social media user.
”You need Whit knee Houston on the other leg!” someone else suggested.
”i need this,” chimed in another.

Wills jokes ‘families can be a mixed bag – some of them might not want to see you much’
PRINCE William joked families can be a “mixed bag” when he visited soldiers at an army air field.
The Prince of Wales asked a group if their family are okay and if they see them enough, before quipping: “Some of them might not want to see you that much.

“It’s a mixed bag sometimes.”
This comes as the royal’s feud with his brother Prince Harry continues.
The latest blow to their fractured relationship came when the Duke of Sussex dropped some extraordinary bombshells in a BBC interview.
He filmed a rare sit-down chat after losing his appeal against the decision to remove his taxpayer-funded security.
William’s comments came after he observed a combat PT training session.
He visited the Army Air Corps in Wattisham, Suffolk, in his role as colonel-in-chief which he became in May 2024.
He also promised he would take up issues with accommodation which was raised by the soldiers, saying: “It probably hasn’t been looked at for a while.
There will be a big notebook on somebody’s desk.“Whether they listen to me, that’s another matter.”
He arrived yesterday as a passenger in a wildcat helicopter – a key element of AAC’s capabilities – before flying the chopper himself on the way home.
During the trip, he was also shown inside planning and comms tents to learn about their operations.
And he served bacon and sausage baps at an Archers Breakfast, a weekly social event held by 664 Squadron for its personnel and families.
He said as he served the food: “It’s making my mouth water.”
And the ladies serving with him praised his abilities, saying he was “spot on” and “had pace”.
He then spoke with soldiers and their families outside, including Mike and Lorna Pope, parents of Air Trooper Daniel Pope of 664 Squadron who sadly died of cancer in 2016.
The squadron and regiment honour his memory through an annual cross country race and by naming Pope’s Bar after him, which was the venue for meeting the families.
And he spoke with WO2 Matthew Foster and children Archie, six, and Ida, eight. He told the children: “Your dad does a very important job here.”
At the end of the engagement, he presented Staff Sergeant Kenneth Robert Copeland with an award for his exceptional service in West Africa.
He also presented promotions for several soldiers from corporal to sergeant.

Meghan won’t take orders from anyone – that’s why her brand’s in chaos & it’s all her own fault, expert slams
ROYAL experts have slammed Meghan Markle, claiming her inability to take orders is behind the chaos surrounding her brand.
The Duchess of Sussex’s brand, As ever, is taking a short break after selling out all its items in just 45 minutes, according to Meghan.

However, experts claim the quick sellout highlights chaos behind the brand, suggesting there weren’t enough products to meet demand.
The Sun’s former Royal Correspondent and author Charles Rae said: “I’m not a businessman, but I would have thought that if you were setting up a new company, you would have enough products on the shelves or whatever is kept to satisfy the demand.”
Shoppers snapped up £10 jam and £22 honey from Meghan’s brand — though it’s unclear how many sold before the products were declared out of stock.
Royal experts believe that the lack of clarity from the brand stems from the Duchess “not wanting to take orders from anyone”.
“My view is that it is mainly, I would say, 90 per cent Megan who’s running,” said Charles.
He added: “Who’s running the show, because this is a woman who does not want to take orders from anybody.”
Royal Correspondent Sarah Hewson agreed and said: “She doesn’t want to let go.
“And I guess, you know, she is putting her name to it. But yes, it has been chaotic.“
The Duchess of Sussex has promised her As Ever goods will be back in stock this month – alongside “a few new things we can’t wait to show you”.
The about-turn came hours after she was heard telling Beyonce’s mother she had decided to “just pause” until completely ready.
Meghan appeared on her own podcast on Tuesday, recorded in May, telling Tina Knowles she feared annoying customers when the first batch of her jam and herbal teas sold out in less than an hour.
She said wanted to wait until it is “completely stable and we have everything we need”.
Meghan has since shared a photo of jam-making preparations including bowls of strawberries, raspberries and blueberries, and freshly squeezed lemons, on her Instagram stories, writing: “‘June gloom?’ Not over here! Because this month your favourite products are back.”
Her official AsEver account also posted: “To all who’ve been wondering and waiting, thank you!
“Your favorites are returning, plus a few NEW things we can’t wait to show you. Coming this month…get excited!”
The Duchess’s bonus Confessions Of A Female Founder episode with Knowles was recorded on May 5, the day before Prince Archie’s sixth birthday.
Meghan, who celebrated Princess Lilibet’s fourth birthday on Wednesday by sharing previously unseen black and white family photographs of herself with her daughter, began selling her As Ever products in April.
The range includes flower sprinkles, which she used liberally during her Netflix lifestyle show, and raspberry spread, a crepe mix, wildflower honey and an assortment of herbal teas.
She renamed her brand from American Riviera Orchard after running into trademark issues.
It comes after Meghan Markle shared heartwarming pictures of her daughter Lilibet to celebrate her fourth birthday.
And Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz have reportedly hired Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s lawyer to help protect their reputations as their family feud escalates.
