Authorities Have ‘Several Leads’ After Raiding D4vd House in Celeste Rivas Investigation

Authorities are continuing to investigate the death of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas after her decaying and dismembered body was found in the trunk of a car belonging to 20-year-old singer D4vd, but it sounds like they are making progress.

Last week, authorities raided a house that was reportedly connected to the singer as they searched for answers regarding the 15-year-old girl’s death. Following that raid, it sounds like investigators have some leads.

What We Know

  • A badly decomposing and dismembered body was found inside a Tesla belonging to musician D4vd at an impound lot in Hollywood on Sept. 8.
  • The car was never reported stolen, but it was brought to the lot after “someone reported it abandoned” in Hollywood Hills, and police were called after workers “reported a strong odor” coming from the vehicle.
  • The body was discovered inside a bag in the Tesla’s front trunk, and the remains were so decomposed that it took authorities more than a week to identify the body.
  • The remains were eventually identified as 15-year-old Celeste Rivas.
  • D4vd has a matching tattoo with Rivas, and her mother said she has been missing for over a year and that her daughter’s boyfriend was named David.
  • D4vd initially decided to continue his world tour while cooperating with the investigation, but he eventually cancelled the remainder of his tour.
  • An unreleased love song written by D4vd references someone by the name of “Celeste.”
  • Police raided a home connected to D4vd as they continue the investigation.
  • D4vd has not been arrested or named as a suspect in the case.
  • Authorities have also not officially declared the death a murder because they have not determined a cause of death, though TMZ has reported numerous times that her death is being investigated as a homicide by the LAPD’s Robbery-Homicide Division.

Authorities Raid House

As investigators continue to search for answers in the 15-year-old girl’s death, authorities conducted an overnight raid on a Hollywood Hills house linked to D4vd last week.

According to a report from TMZ, the home was being rented out by D4vd’s manager, Josh Marshall, but ABC News reported that D4vd had been living in the house.

Los Angeles Police Department detectives were seen taking a computer and several other items from the home, according to ABC News.

Authorities Have ‘Several Leads’ After Raid

The morning after the raid was completed on the home, authorities confirmed the raid and that the search warrant was served in connection with the death of 15-year-old girl Celeste Rivas.

While the Los Angeles Police Department did not have much of an update after the raid, they did indicate that they have “several leads.”

“Several items of evidence were recovered and will be analyzed by detectives in the coming days,” LAPD said in a statement to ABC News. “This is an ongoing investigation. Investigators are following up on several leads.”

Despite the raid and evidence that appears to link D4vd to the deceased, the singer has not been arrested or named as a suspect. After the body was discovered, a spokesperson for D4vd indicated that the artist planned to cooperate fully with the investigation.
