Since authorities found the dismembered body of 15-year-old Celeste Rivas in a Tesla registered to signer D4vd, they have been looking for concrete evidence to make a case. While D4vd has been linked in many ways to the young teen, authorities have yet to arrest him as a prime suspect. Authorities now switch gears in their investigation to focus on Rivas’s home life.
Celeste Rivas Has a History of Running Away
Rivas was originally reported missing by her family two years ago, but hadn’t heard any news of her whereabouts until the discovery of her decomposing body. According to reports by TMZ, Rivas has run away from home “multiple times” before for having an alleged troubled home life.
Authorities have decided to focus their investigation on her backstory and piece together events in her life that could have led to her death. Homicide detectives on the case report that there’s enough evidence to suggest Rivas came from a “troubled home.”
Other sources claim that, having run away before, Rivas had “multiple” fake IDs, which allowed her to present herself as much older than she actually was. Amid the investigation, many have raised questions on whether D4vd knew Rivas’s real age or if she had originally kept the truth from him.
Another report from her former school teacher also revealed Rivas had run away before in January 2024. The teacher claims Rivas was found in a mansion in the Hollywood Hills a month later. Part of the ongoing investigation includes authorities having raided a Hollywood Hills home near where D4vd’s Tesla was abandoned and Rivas’s body was found. It was later learned that the house was being rented by D4vd’s managers, with the singer reportedly having stayed there.
Police Look for Evidence Linking D4vd to Murder Case
Details on what was found inside the Hollywood Hills home have not been made officially public, with authorities confirming they had “several leads.”
According to TMZ, authorities are looking into evidence that Rivas might have been killed inside the home and later moved. A supposed search warrant was ordered to look for blood evidence, with no official details on what police found.
Besides D4vd and Rivas having similar tattoos on the inside of their fingers, details also include Rivas’s mother claiming her daughter was dating someone named David. Her former teacher also reportedly said Rivas was involved with a rapper.
