Bayern Munich continued its winning streak for the eighth consecutive match in the German Football League (Bundesliga), by defeating its host Borussia Mönchengladbach with 3 unanswered goals, today, Saturday, in the eighth round of the competition.
The first half ended in a goalless draw after the 19th minute saw South Korean Jens Kastrup, Mönchengladbach’s defender, be sent off with a red card, after returning to the video assistant referee technology, so his team completed the match with 10 players.

In the second half, Bayern took advantage of its numerical superiority and scored a hat-trick by Joshua Kimmich, Portuguese Rafael Guerrero and youngster Lennart Karl in the 64th, 68th and 81st minutes.

With this victory, Bayern Munich raised its score to 24 points from 8 matches, topping the table with a full mark, while Mönchengladbach’s score froze at 3 points after suffering its fifth loss this season, leaving it at the bottom of the standings.
In other matches, Leipzig rained 6 unanswered goals against its host Augsburg, continuing to chase leaders Bayern Munich after raising its score to 19 points in second place, 5 points behind the top.
Eintracht Frankfurt also defeated its guest St. Pauli with two unanswered goals, and Wolfsburg defeated its host Hamburg with a clean goal, while Hoffenheim defeated Heidenheim by 3 goals to one.
