Benjamin Sesko has opened up on his early struggles at Manchester United having not started a single Premier League game since arriving at Old Trafford.
The Slovenia international joined Ruben Amorim’s side in a £74million deal after a summer where Arsenal and Newcastle United also explored a move.
After training with his new teammates for the first time just days before the start of the new season, Sesko started on the bench against Arsenal, coming on for the final 25 minutes.
He settled for a bench role again a week later against Fulham with Mason Mount again preferred by Amorim as part of an attacking front three alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. The striker got 37 minutes under his belt at Craven Cottage.
Sesko did play the full 90 minutes in the Carabao Cup defeat at Grimsby Town but was back among the subs last weekend against Burnley.

Even when United lost Cunha to injury in the first-half, Amorim turned to Joshua Zirkzee to replace him in attack with Sesko settling for the final 18 minutes off the bench.
Currently away on international duty with Slovenia ahead of their World Cup qualification double-header against Switzerland and Sweden, Sesko spoke out on the early demands he has faced.

While admitting everything is at a ‘higher level’, the striker insisted he is getting ‘better and faster’ every day.
Sesko told Slovenian outlet Ekipa: ‘The level of the matches is certainly much higher, the players and teammates are also at a higher level.
‘After all, English football is at the highest level in the world of football.
‘But I am very much looking forward to the coming period, also because I am getting better and faster in every training session, and I am also progressing in my football mentality every day.
‘I wanted to move to England and fortunately my wish came true.’

Sesko is still waiting to score his first goal in United colours but will be hopeful of getting the chance to open his account when United take on Manchester City following the international break.
‘It is an incredibly big match coming up,’ Sesko said.
‘There will simply be some pressure on both sides to just win this match. There’s still quite a bit to go until this match, but we’re definitely looking forward to a top match.’
