This Monday morning, the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Michoacán reported the murder of Bernardo Bravo Manríquez, leader of the Association of Lemon Producers of the Apatzingán Valley, and also president of lemon producers nationwide.
The Limón leader was deprived of his freedom by armed men on Sunday, October 19. In a preliminary report published through its social networks, the Prosecutor’s Office indicated that the lifeless body of Bernardo Bravo was located inside his own vehicle, in an area of influence of the so-called Michoacán New Generation Cartel (CMNG).

The Apatzingán government regretted the events and expressed solidarity with his family.
Bravo had received death threats due to the strikes carried out by lemon producers in Apatzingán due to the extortion they received from criminals from the “Los Via” group.
