Big Brother 27’s Lauren Explains Why She and Morgan Could Never Get on the Same Page

Lauren Domingue became the second houseguest evicted during Big Brother 27’s double eviction episode on Thursday, September 19 after Head of Household Morgan Pope put her on the block. The duo never seemed to be on the same page as they were both close to Vince Panaro and considered him their No. 1 ally.

“I don’t necessarily think that there was a jealousy,” the 22-year-old bridal stylist tells Men’s Journal after her eviction. “I think that we just, every time that we actually did talk game, we had sort of just different perspectives and different ways of thinking of things. So it’s unfortunate that we didn’t get to get on the same page because obviously that would’ve been a bit easier if we were.”

Lauren stands by her loyalty to Vince despite him being closest to Morgan. “I don’t regret staying so loyal to Vince because I think ultimately it got me to where I ended up in the game,” she says. “I also don’t regret talking more game with other people because I feel like a lot of people in the house like to spread information and I feel like Vince was one of those people that didn’t do that so much. He was one of the only people that I really trusted with the information that I had, so I don’t think I regret that.”

Had she won Head of Household, Lauren would have finally taken a shot at Morgan. “If I had stayed in and won HOH, I think I definitely would’ve done Morgan and Keanu [Soto],” she tells MJ. “I would’ve potentially considered putting Vince up first if I thought that I can guarantee Veto, just because I know if it was Morgan and Vince up there, then people would’ve voted Vince out and Vince was still somebody that I knew was going to be a vote for me if I stayed. So that’s not a number that I was willing to risk. So I think that I probably would’ve put up Morgan and Keanu.”

As for who she thinks has a chance to win the game, Lauren says, “I think that everyone’s playing a pretty good game in different ways. I think obviously Ava [Pearl] has an impeccable social game and she has an HOH win under her belt. Ashley [Hollis], although she’s only won a Veto, I found out – especially this week whenever I was sort of talking with her about getting her vote while I was on the block – she made some very compelling points, and was really good at negotiating for her safety, which I thought was interesting. Obviously, Keanu is a comp beast, and I think that he is going to make it very far in this game. I told everybody that if he was on the block on eviction night, that was the first time he had seen the block and had any votes cast against him. So I think that that would’ve been the perfect opportunity to take a shot at him.”

“But, obviously that didn’t happen. So I think that he’s obviously a great contender,” she continues. “Vince, I think a lot of people are going to use the argument that Morgan is playing his game for him, but he has made it this far. And then, I think Morgan is playing a very, very good game. She hasn’t won many competitions in the beginning until her three-peat veto, and I think that people hadn’t really seen her as a competitive threat before then. But now she’s really turned it up and I think that she is a real contender for the season.”
