Bill Belichick’s Girlfriend Files Interesting Trademark Before College Season

The college football season is set to begin for dozens of teams this weekend, and one game is drawing a lot of attention. The North Carolina Tar Heels will host the TCU Horned Frogs on Monday evening, marking Bill Belichick’s head coaching debut at the college level.

Belichick, 73, won multiple Super Bowls during his time in the NFL, both as a head coach with the New England Patriots and as a defensive coordinator with the New York Giants. He’ll look to replicate that success in college with the Tar Heels, but the head coach has recently been noteworthy for other reasons.

Belichick’s relationship with Jordon Hudson has been the talk of the sports world for much of the college football offseason. A CBS interview in which she took offense to questions about their relationship went viral, and some believed that Hudson was part of the pairing for reasons other than companionship.

The 24-year-old former cheerleader has asserted that her relationship with Belichick is based on their affinity for one another, but her recent decision to file for a trademark shows that she’s aware of the discussions around her personal life.

Hudson, Belichick File For Several Trademarks

TCE Rights Management LLC, which is owned by Belichick and managed by Hudson, filed for 17 new trademarks in 2025, according to Cllct’s Darren Rovell. Those trademarks included phrases like “Chapel Bill,” “Belestrator” and “The Belichick Way,” but the phrase “Gold Digger” was also included.

The filing notes that the company would intend to use the trademarked phrase for use in jewelry and key chains.

Belichick and Hudson have been dating since 2023. They emerged as a couple after Belichick ended his previous relationship with Linda Holliday that lasted for nearly two decades.

After the CBS interview earlier this year, several notable figures and top names expressed concern over the relationship, including friends of Belichick like former NBA star Charles Barkley.

“I’m not sure what’s going on,” Barkley said during an appearance on the “Dan Patrick Show” back in May.

“From what I’m hearing, it’s starting to be a very slippery slope. And I never talk about people’s personal relationships — that’s another rule I got. But, I will admit, I’m a little concerned with some of the stuff that’s going on. I might actually reach out to him to make sure everything’s good, but I am concerned from what I’m hearing. It’s not a good look, right, I’ll admit that.”

What’s Next For Belichick?

Belichick will enter what is likely the final stage of his illustrious coaching career after decades of dominance at the professional level. The veteran coach says he welcomes the challenge.

“I’ve always wanted to be in college football. I grew up in college football,” Belichick said in a recent interview with the Boston Globe.

“This is a great university, and it’s a great opportunity here. The kids are great, they work hard, they want to be good, and they try. Working with a lot of people I like to work with, and I enjoy coming to work every day. That’s an important quality of life.”

Belichick and the Tar Heels will look to make a statement on the field Monday night, as millions of Americans tune in to see his college debut.
