Every now and then, a kid goes viral on TikTok for being totally honest and funny, and we absolutely love it when it happens. And last year, twins from Burnley went on a hilarious rant about how expensive their ice cream was, and the video went viral.
Basically, eight-year-old Marnie couldn’t believe the cost of two ice creams with chewing gum. In the TikTok video, she said, “So there’s an ice cream van selling two ice creams, with two chewing gums in it, for bloody £9… nine quid!” She was also annoyed that the vendor only took cards. “He is going to get nowhere with those prices. And he only does bloody card, and I was stood there with my cash. Bloody hell! That is well bad!” She finished with, “I bet he can hear me!” while her twin sister, Mylah, stood by, looking on.
The video quickly got over 20 million views and made the girls famous as “the ice cream twins.”
So, where are they now?

Well, since going viral, they’ve been busy. They’ve posted on Instagram, done a few adverts, and even appeared on TV. They also went on The Graham Norton Show, sitting with Robbie Williams, John Bishop, Rami Malek, and Motsi Mabuse. The audience loved them for answering questions in unison, and Robbie even gave them a cheeky fist bump. Basically, they’ve turned their viral moment into proper influencer fame, with lots of PR and brand deals coming their way.
Recently, the buzz around the twins got even bigger because TikTok comedian Sam Cornforth recreated their ice cream rant, full outfits, expressions, and even his brother playing Mylah. And the video went viral, hitting over 30 million views. People couldn’t get enough of it.
Now, recently the twins themselves also recreated their famous rant. But this time it wasn’t really a rant. Well, sort of, it was for ASDA, praising a 60p ice cream instead of complaining.

People in the comments went wild, and some even demanded, “We need you covering the Jet2 Holiday ad!!!”
Well, they’re probably out filming it, and I can almost hear £50 per person in their voices already.
