One of the suspected Bondi Beach gunmen has been identified, after 12 people were killed and at least 29 were injured in a mass shooting during a Hanukkah party.
A law enforcement source confirmed to ABC News that 24-year-old Naveed Akram, from Bonnyrigg in Sydney’s south-west, was one of the two shooters.
He is reported to be the shooter filmed opening fire from a bridge, who was later apprehended by police, the Daily Mail reported.
The other shooter was killed at the scene.
Police are currently raiding the suburban home of Akram, which has been owned by his family for a year.

The paper said at least people were taken out of the property by police at gunpoint, as a crowd watched from the pavement.
The incident was targeted at the Jewish community during their ‘Chanukah by the Sea’ celebration, which was taking place when the gunmen opened fire, NSW Premier Chris Minns confirmed.
Police Commissioner Mal Laynon formally called the attack a terrorist incident.
Witnesses said that the men, armed with a shotgun and a rifle, walked to a footbridge overlooking the area and opened fire at around 6.47pm.
Some witnesses reported more than 30 shots.
Families took cover behind wooden benches as many beach-goers were seen fleeing the scene.
In a heroic act, a bystander was filmed wrestling a firearm from a man.
A clip showed the moment a civilian took matters into his own hands and lunged at the attacker, seizing his weapon and pointing it back at him.
Police are also examining a suspected IED bomb at the scene.
