A ‘developing incident’ has erupted at a popular beach destination in Sydney, Australia.

Two people were spotted opening fire at Bondi Beach after stepping out from a car at Campbell Parade, according to witnesses.

Hundreds of people are believed to be in the area, Aussie news channel 9News reports.

Police have urged beachgoers to avoid the area, adding: ‘Anyone at the scene should take shelter.’
